Mounting Side Straps for Thule Gateway Trunk Mount Bike Carrier on a 2004 Infinity G35 Coupe
Question:
The side straps dont attach tightly because of the angled side edge of the truck lid. As I try to tighten the straps they simply slide down. Any suggestions?

There isn't a specific place the side hooks have to go on the Thule Gateway trunk mount bike carrier # TH88JV. If they will stay in place lower or higher then it is acceptable to place them there. The side straps help prevent the rack from sliding left or right. If you can, tighten them both at the same time or go back and forth tightening one then the other until both are sufficiently tight.
