Durability of Various Truck Bed Mats for Use on Snowmobile Trailer
Question:
Hi, how durable would this rubber mat be with snowmobiles? I want to use it in a snowmobile trailer as a cheaper alternative to track mats. Would this hold up to studded tracks? I was also considering buying utility truck bed mats and cutting them into strips. The truck bed mats are thicker so maybe they are a little tougher?

The Surehoof Rubber Trailer Mat # 3622RM that you referenced is a fairly thin 5/16-inch rubber material. We do offer a range of thicker 3/8-inch truck bed mats like the 4 x 8-foot DeeZee # DZ85005, a 6 x 3-1/2-foot size # DZ85009 and also a tail gate size mat that measures 60-inches x 19-1/2-inches, part # DZ86700.
We also offer mats with a carpet-like surface that are thicker still at 1/2-inch, such as the BedRug Universal mat # BMX00D which can be trimmed to size.
I cannot give you any assurance that any of these items will hold up when used in an application for which they were not intended. One of these may work fine and stand up to the studded tracks on your snowmobiles but since none has been tested and approved for such application you will be on your own.
