Does the DeeZee Tailgate Assist # DZ43300 Prevent Tailgate from Getting Removed Easily

We need to remove our tailgate from time to time. Does this product prevent that? Or can we just pop the cylinder off and back on again?

With the DeeZee Tailgate Assist Custom Tailgate-Lowering System # DZ43300 you could pretty easily remove the shock portion of it by popping it off so that you could remove your tailgate whenever you needed to.
