Recommended Ladder Rack And Kayak Carrier For 2001 Chevrolet S-10 With Bed Cap

I would like to transport 2-12foot kayaks on the top of a 2001 Chevy S10 with cap. Currently no roof racks on either truck or cap. At times, truck will be towed behind an RV. What system/s would you recommend.

For your 2001 Chevrolet S-10 pickup with the cap I recommend the TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack for Camper Shell/Truck Cap, part # TH29200XT.

This ladder rack has elliptical crossbars constructed of aluminum, and includes 4 load stops to help keep everything in place.

I recommend the Thule The Stacker, part # TH830. This is a post-style carrier that will allow you to carry the kayaks side by side on your crossbars. This system also includes 2 adjustable tie-down straps to secure the kayaks to the carrier, and bow/stern tie-downs.
