Recommended Setup When Hauling 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailers With a Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

I am looking into hauling rvs for a living. The truck I am looking at to purchase, already has a hide away ball in the floor of the truck, from when he hauled horses with the truck. I need to be versatile in what I am going to haul, some will be tags, while others will be ball, and 5th wheel king pins. Would this adapter work, as far as putting on, and taking off different trailers all the time? Thanks.

The adapter # CAB-C5G you referenced will work but it wouldn't be a convenient option to remove often because it is quite heavy and usually will take 2 people to lift the adapter.

Instead I recommend the Demco Recon, part # DM8550045. It installs onto the gooseneck ball in your truck's bed and provides a fifth wheel hitch. It's a lot easier to put in and take out of your truck and it's also a lot lighter.
