Rear Hatch Clearance for Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box on 2009 Honda Pilot

Question:

I would like to know what the rear hatch clearance measurement is for the Thule force XXL? As I understand it, the measurement is taken from the center of the front crossbar on the vehicle to the seam where the rear hatch meets the roof. I have a 2009 Honda pilot touring. Just need the measurement to see how badly the rear hatch will be affected.

To determine if your Thule Force XT XXL cargo box, # TH6359B, is going to make contact with the rear hatch door of your 2009 Honda Pilot, you will need to take one simple measurement. If your front crossbar is adjustable you will want to slide it all the way forward and then measure from the center of the bar back to the seam of the rear hatch. This is the amount of front clearance you need.

The Thule Force XT XXL # TH6359B, requires 54-3/4 inches (see box mounting dimensions graphic). If the measurement you took is more than that this box will fit.
