What time of installation is required to fit the tailgate extender to a 2014 ram 1500 with a plastic bed liner. Also will it be compatible with a bak roll x tonnue cover?

The referenced Topline Fold Down Truck Bed Extender # BX4004-01 is a correct fit for your 2014 Ram 1500. Installation instructions are linked for you at right. Tools required include a drill and bits, hammer and center punch, 5/32-inch Allen wrench and a grease pencil. You will need to trim your bed liner in the spots on the tailgate where the installation brackets mount.
Installation time is hard to predict. I would say that about an hour should suffice for a first-time installer but again this depends on your mechanical skills and having the correct tools.
This bed extender does not make any contact with the truck's bed rails and since it sits below the rails' height it will not interfere with your BAK Roll-X hard tonneau cover.
