How does the BOLT lock recognize my Dodge key from any other Dodge of my make and model?

The key you have for your Dodge truck is unique. They don't put the same lock cores in every Dodge truck. The BOLT Lock # BL7018452 will learn your specific key profile once you insert your key into it and turn it till it stops.

This lock doesn't just unlock for every Dodge key that gets inserted into it.

The key of your 2019 Ford F-350 should look like the keys in the attached picture which is what the Bolt lock part #BL7023585 is designed to fit. This would be the Bolt lock hitch lock you'd need which will key to your truck's key.
