Thule racks are really easy to replace keys. Just get the number off the lock and you can order the key that works.

I bought this hoping it would fit a Y002 branded lock cylinder on a Harbor Freight universal roof crossbar. It did not. No fault of the seller, I knew it was a gamble. There is obviously more than one brand of lock cylinder with the Y002 designation.

I had a SEARS SPORT 20-SV (roof top cargo carrier )with lock numbers 2818 right above where you insert the key. I just added the letter (N) before the. So I ordered N2818 and it worked perfectly!! Two day shipping was right on time.

- Replacement Key for an Old SportRack CarrierSportRack is a division of Thule so a RockyMounts replacement lock core, # RKY0331-E097, or replacement key, # RKY0360-E097, is not likely going to fit. The likely fit is going to be # THKEYN097. The newer replacement keys tend to need a little persuading to seat all the way in the old locks. So if you insert the key and it does not turn that is likely the issue. You can tap it in with a mallet to seat it properly to turn the key in the lock.
