Video Transcript for SuperSprings SuperSway Stops Review

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Supersprings Supersway Stops. All you have to do is put your vehicles information in our fit guide on our website and that's gonna get you partnered up with the right kit for your specific vehicle. What the Supersway Stops does is it lowers this little point to where we're gonna activate our overload springs a lot sooner. As you can see, it's definitely a lot bigger than the one that came on here from the factory. So this is just an easy way just to kind of, keep your suspension all working together. Because before I didn't really have a whole lot of weight on here and my overload springs weren't getting activated.

Like I literally wasn't. So this is just going to do a lot of different things for your ride quality. One, it's gonna help prevent porpoising which what that is, whenever you're going down the road and you hit like a speed bump or something, it feels like you're in the back of a bus or you're kind of just sitting there like this and your truck takes a little bit of time to kind of correct. Also with body roll. When we have an extra leaf spring that's doing a little bit more work sooner.

It's gonna kind of feel a little bit more stable whenever you're hauling heavier loads and turning around. And it's also just going to keep some of those uneven terrains, whenever you're hitting potholes and stuff, it's gonna kind of correct and keep your trailer in line with you. So it's gonna give you a little bit more peace of mind whenever you're traveling down the road with a heavy load or something behind your truck. Even without a load on here, we still have the overload springs already hitting our extra little bumpers here. And this is gonna be really, really nice just because having that already there, our back suspension's going to react a little bit quicker.

So if you are hauling a trailer and sometimes it gets a little bit off center, your suspension's gonna kind of correct that. And since we have it activating the overload spring a little bit sooner, it's gonna keep that trailer a little bit closer and centered behind your truck, which is gonna be a lot smoother and a lot less stressful whenever you're driving. These are also gonna be necessary if you do install airbags on your pickup. Why Well, when you install airbags, we're gonna increase the distance between these factory mounts and our overload spring. So when we increase the distance this isn't really gonna make contact at all.

So your bottom three leaf springs are gonna do, be doing all the work. So I would highly recommend grabbing these if you have airbags on your truck already, or if you plan on getting them, it's really something you need. Notice how we have different sections here. So comparing these to the torque lift options we have on our website. The torque lift's only gonna have one solid piece. If we don't really think we're gonna need all of the sections here, we can take out the middle section to bring it up a little bit closer. So I would definitely say this would be an upgrade to the torque lift, just because we do have that adjustment here and it is made of a high impact polypropylene material. So it's gonna be extra strong. It's not gonna crack or break over time. Comes with all the hardware that you need. All you really have is just the actual piece itself. And then some, a washer and a nut. You just need a wrench to tighten it down. Did not take me a whole lot of time at all. There's one on the back right here and then one on the front and there's gonna be two on the other side as well. So it's really, really simple, really easy. And I think it's just a very quick and simple way just to improve your ride quality. So even as he starts to just lower this down, you realize how much the suspension is sagging. It's definitely a lot but activating those overload springs sooner is really gonna make the world of difference. Oh wow. Even on that first bump, I can 100% tell the suspension just seems stiffer, more responsive. It's bouncing around a lot less. Definitely an improvement. And that'll do it for a look at the Supersprings Supersway Stops..

Install is super easy and quick. Took about 30 min total for install. I can tell some thought went into this products design by the way the SuperSway Stops fit the factory bump stop perch cradle and how they contact the springs, unlike the competitors overpriced option.
I’m hauling a 3300 pound (dry) camper in a 2022 F350 CCLB DRW with camper package. Factory upper overload bump stops weren’t engaging soon enough causing some sway and sagging about an inch over the rear tires. After installing the SuperSway Stops the bump stops now engage taking most of away and rocking out. I also gained 1.5 inch in height over rear tires so truck now sits higher in back. These are the only suspension upgrades I’ve done. I would highly recommend.

Almost perfect. There is no way to locate the pad from front to back to keep it even as you tighten them. OE pads had wrap around ears to keep them in place. First time I tightened them, they all moved a little either front or back. I jacked each side back up and re located them even, and probably over tightened them to deform them to stay in place. Have no moved since. Also, the washers you supplied were not large enough in diameter and not thick enough. They deformed and pulled through bolt hole, making them move. I went to Lowe’s and got bigger and thicker washers for second tightening and they worked fine.

Nissan Leaf

They do raise the truck enough with a camper to not be concerned low with beam head lights offending oncoming traffic. Fairly easy to install. But they do make a friction noise as they slide on the leaf springs while driving. This really bugged me at first but I'm getting used to it.

by:

Easy to install. I think they are better than the OEM originals. No jacking required for my rig. Took about an hour to install. Fit my Ford F-350 Super Duty

They seem to work to help my truck handle my overhead camper. Only complaint..pretty noisy. Squeaks a lot on bumpy roads.

The replacement bump stops are meant to provide more preload for your overload springs, to make them engage sooner than they otherwise would. Unfortunately, the noise youre experiencing is pretty much unavoidable and is how your suspension is designed to work.

They’re still in use and work as intended. The material they are made of is like a very hard plastic. When the overload springs engage, there is a lot of squeaky noises when going over a bumpy road. If my truck windows are up, I don’t hear it. There has been no sign of wear with 5k miles of camper use over the past year.

Easy to install. Engages the overload springs much quicker and keeps the truck much closer to level.

by:

Installed easy and they fit perfectly. Time will tell how they hold up.

by:

Only a handful of trips with them installed…
So
far so good

Thanks for asking

They did not fit my 2006 Ford F250 XLT long bed 6.0 diesel. I’m really upset, as my rear suspension has no room for them between the leaf springs and frame in the rear. I had waited a couple months to put them in so I didn’t try to return them. Still, $[XX] for something that doesn’t work, as opposed to what the item listing described. Very not happy with etrailer now. The front ones went on, but one side is offset to the suspension member, and just yesterday on a big bump it slipped off the member. They don’t fit properly, front or rear, and between the two it was over $[XX] with shipping. What a ripoff. And, the photos won’t upload! Well except for the ones that don’t show the problems. Must be a very clever bit of software that recognizes photos that show the defective product and won’t accept them.

Hmm, these are confirmed to fit your vehicle so I am very surprised to hear they fell of just from hitting a bump on the road! I reached out to the manufacturer and they were asking if you could send photos of where everything is installed and how things are situated.

Purchased SuperSprings about a year ago. The product did what was advertised. I didn't like the additional noise from the bumpers in contact with the overload springs. I ended up taking the big spacer off and just used the rubber bumpers as they are bigger than factory bumpers. I purchased air bags, on-board compressor, and air tank from etrailer that solved my problem. In my option, if you are handy at all air bags are the way to go. While the "SuperSprings" didn't work as I'd hoped, they do provide a little extra cushion for those rough roads. Buying from etrailer, provides me peace of mind knowing I'll get a quality product that is relatively easy to install, and they provide instructional videos to help with installs.

by:

They do the job of preloading the overload springs but are very noisy the material they are made from is extremely hard and you get a loud bumping noise at every hole you hit, and your ride is comprised which is to be expected, I have had them on a few days and I’m not sure I will keep them on for long term

by:

What a difference in ride. The camper weight wasn't enough to engage the overload springs. They are engaged now and the ride is nearly sway free.

by:
2023 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Fit perfect! easy install!

by:

The rubber is too hard. Causes noise and hardens ride. They do what they are intended for.

by:
2024 Ford F-350 Super Duty

all good thanks

by:

Easy to install - happy so far

by:

Installed easy, didn't drive yet. Looks like they will perform perfectly. I put heavy diuty leaf springs on 05 f350 rwd gasser, so stock stops wouldnt engage helper spring when desired. This was very easy solution. Hassle free shipping. Top of rear bolts was .5" away from my bed after install, I cut it with bolt cutters cause beds been sagging. We are all connected and connected to all nature. Peace.

Ram 3500

good product. my air bags are ever so thankful. fifth wheel trailer tongue is 3500 pounds and the air bags are taking all the abuse.

by:
2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Arrived quickly and well packaged. Took less than 30 minutes to pry off the OEM pads and install these. Installed without the spacers on the rear and with spacers on the front of the helper spring. Have about 1.5” of clearance when the truck is unloaded so it doesn’t change the unloaded ride. Will load the truck camper later this week and I expect a significant reduction in the side-to-side sway.

by:

The blocks did reduce sag with my travel trailer by 1”. However the down side is that they are so noisy I will probably by taking them back off and putting the stock small rubber pads back on. I don’t know if it is the material they are made out of or what cause them to be so noisy.

I reached out to the manufacturer and have found that the majority of the sound issues within suspensions will originate from the OE leaves as they slide against each other under loading. Or it can also be from the bushings used in mounting, they react to the new changing load distribution. If the sound is too bothersome then choosing a different system will be the solution.

by:

I tow a 14k bumper pull toy hauler. I put them on my 2022 GMC AT4 3500hd. I started with using the full assy and it made so much noise even without any load so I took out the middle portion of the assy to shorten it and still with a smaller 5k trailer I tow it made so much noise I ended up taking then all completely off and put the stock pads back on. I believe it's noisy cause they are much harder than the stick rubber pads. I personally don't like them, I will eventually probably just put air bags on.

  • Are SuperSprings SuperSway or Timbren Springs a Better Option 2023 Ford F-350 Dually Reduce Sag?
The SuperSprings SuperSway Stops # SS65GR are going to be the better option versus the Timbren # TFR350SDJ on your 2023 Ford F-350 Dually with upper overload springs. The Timbren's are designed to leave a 1" gap between the jounce spring and axle. This means you will get 1" of sag before they even begin to work. The SuperSprings are designed to make contact with the upper overload spring at stock height when unloaded. This will better help to reduce sag and the sway you are experiencing.

Thank you for all of the information! I definitely have some recommendations for you but I do encourage you to get that OEM suspension looked at especially if you think it used to look different prior to your last trip. Any suspension enhancement system is designed to work in tandem with your OEM suspension so if your OEM is messed up then that puts more strain than necessary on the aftermarket parts and everything will wear down quicker and it could get ugly.
