Towing work equipment presents its own challenges, but when it comes to transporting livestock, that's a whole other ball game. Without some kind of shock absorbtion that journey over bumps, potholes, and uneven terrain is going to disturb your animals and cause them anxiety. The Curt RockerBall cushioned gooseneck ball creates a safer and smoother ride for your livestock by utilizing cushioning technology to absorb some of that shock.
The Curt RockerBall cushioned gooseneck hitch ball features Curt's innovative ShockDrop technology, which is engineered to suppress jerking, jarring, and chucking while you're towing. A durable, polyurethane material is built into the unit and absorbs excess shock so that it doesn't transfer from the truck to your trailer or vice versa. As the head teeters back and forth on the integrated pivot point, the fore-aft motion that you experience during sudden braking or acceleration is decreased. This means that the uncomfortable jerking feeling associated with starting and stopping while towing is dramatically lessened.
The overall result is increased comfort as you tow, as well as less wear and tear on your towing setup. This means less stress on you, your truck and trailer, and your precious cargo.

Hello, neighbors and friends. Stephen here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at the Curt RockerBall. It's a multi-fit ball kit with a four-inch offset for your factory gooseneck hitches, and it's rated at 30,000 pounds. Now, with anything at etrailer.com, we always recommend that you select a part according to the fit guide on our homepage. So go to the homepage.
At the top center, you'll see our fit guide. Enter your year, make, and model. Make sure you're getting the right part the first time. Now, that being said, I can tell you this particular kit's gonna fit select 2013 to current Chevys, Fords, GMCs, Rams, and Nissans with the factory puck system installed. This also works with Curt's OEM gooseneck hitches as well.
Now, it does have the standard safety chain hook points here. It's also got for the puck system, if you ever use one of these, you simply undo that, pivot it 90 degrees, drop it down in the puck hole, pivot it back up, and simply lock it in place. Now, these pucks are interchangeable, meaning you could take them and flip 'em over and put 'em upside down depending on your application and what the instructions say to do. Now, I mentioned the instructions. It does come with a nice set of instructions.
You get all the hardware included. I've got it fitted here loosely today. So everything's just kind of on blocks in the turntable just to give you a little better view, hopefully, of what you're getting and everything. Now again, this has a shock-absorbing ball. So this is the RockerBall.
I'm not able to physically manipulate this because I'm not strong enough. It has a very thick polyurethane cushion dampener inside. That's gonna help dampen the chucking, jarring, bumps, vibrations, and that kind of stuff. It's virtually made maintenance free 'cause you don't have to worry about airbags, bearings, that kind of stuff with this kit. It's all one system. It has anti-rotation arms that I showed you as far as getting, you know, the pucks in place and everything. That's gonna help eliminate chucking as well between the frame and the pucks. It does a four-inch offset. That's gonna give you more bed space. You can make sharper turns. You can open that tailgate when you're hooked up to the camper or trailer, whatnot, and it's gonna be a nice feature for you to have more space. It's also eight inches of rise from the bed of the truck up to the top of this ball. This is a standard 2 5/16 ball, and it does have a limited lifetime warranty, and again, rated at 30,000 pounds. Now, make sure that you never exceed your vehicle's limitations as well. So if your vehicle's only rated for, say, 20K, make sure you're not going over that just because this guy's rated at 30. You can't exceed your vehicle's limitations. Now, locking that ball in and out of place is very simple. You take that linchpin off, and these ball bearings here, well, that's what I'm calling 'em, the big ball bearings. Basically, those are locked right now, but if I move this lever over and I was gonna take it in or out, you can push those balls inside. That's for you to install it. Once you got it installed, these simply lock out and hold it in place. Very simple operation, very simple to use. Now again, this does have the shock-absorbing ball head here. And again, that's gonna give you that smooth ride overall, which is what we're all looking for, right Now, it does have an extra, I did get two brackets. It does have an extra long one here. That's for the Ram pickup truck. So the instructions will tell you that. Always follow the instructions. We've got some videos on our website as well on how to install these in your vehicle. Now, the shorter one here, that's the one that's gonna fit all the other models out there per the instructions as well. So again, you're getting all the hardware, both brackets. You're only gonna need one bracket depending on your vehicle. Really nice operation. Really heavy-duty steel. It's got a nice carbide black powder coat finish to it, and the ball's got a nice chrome plating on it. That's gonna help resist corrosion, weathered effects, that kind of stuff.
