Long Wheel Hook for Feedback Sports Velo Hinge Bike Storage Rack

This is a must have for anyone with carbon wheels that are deeper than 40mm! The standard hook that came with the velo hinge worked fine for my previous wheelset at 42mm. However, it barely worked with a 58mm deep wheels. The longer hooks changed my life. It's now super easy to take the bike on and off the rack.1227137

This is the best bike rack on the market. It is PERFECT if you have limited garage space or just prefer that your bike(s) don't take up tons of space. They are very sturdy and strong (hang them from a wall stud, obviously), and the brilliant addition of a hinge to a vertical bike hook allows a bike to hang surprisingly flat against a wall. If you have multiple bikes and want to maximize space, hang each bike so that handlebars align with gaps in the frame of the other bikes (see included photo). I only have about 7' of wall space, and I fit three bikes with room for a fourth, and they barely stick out from the wall (not even as far as my trash can!). IMPORTANT NOTE - I have two 29ers with 2.3" and 2.4" wide tires and the standard hook could not hold them. The standard hook was perfect for my road bike, but for mountain bikes you definitely need to purchase the larger hook (Item # 301-16858, "Long Wheel Hook for Feedback Sports Velo Hinge Bike Storage Rack").1317215

This longer hook, to use in pace of the stock one on the FeedBack Sports Velo Hinge, allowed to me store a bike with deeper rims. It works great and was easy to swap out. I even changed the swing direction of the Velo Hinge1473138

Very easy to install even if you have already mounted the hinges, just need to unscrew the top and switch it out, 3 minutes max. Works great for big mountain bike tires!1527183

This hook works for larger mtn. bike tires, but not 3.5" fat tires. The way the hook is designed is okay, but the rubber breaks or tears off the ends and the metal has scratched a couple of my rims. I wish the hook had a ball at the end or was rounded, so that it would not scratch rims as you try and squeeze larger mtn. bike tires in there.1448783

These worked out awesome! I have no idea why these are not the standard size hook for the Velo hinge. None of our road or gravel bikes could fit on the standard size hook as most road gravel rims can be 28-38mm deep plus the depth of a 28-43mm tire. But let it be know. Even my 48mm deep rim with 28mm tires fit with these hooks.996413
