SquareBar Evo crossbars attach to Thule feet to create a durable, reliable roof rack for your vehicle. Bars are constructed of galvanized steel with a polymer coating that provides grip for your cargo. Accommodate accessories that clamp around bars.
Features:
Specs:
The SquareBar Evo crossbars let you create a sturdy, reliable roof rack for your vehicle. Each bar extends past the roof rack feet to maximize carrying capacity. The bars are constructed of galvanized steel so they're durable and rust resistant, and they have a polymer coating that helps prevent your cargo from sliding on the rack. The SquareBars require a Thule foot pack to mount the rack to your roof. If you have a vehicle with a naked roof you will also require a vehicle-specific fit kit .
Strong, Durable Construction
The SquareBars are made of heavy-duty, rust-resistant galvanized steel. They have a black polymer coating that provides extra grip to help prevent your cargo from sliding around while you're driving. The polymer coating also helps protect the bars against corrosion so you can leave the SquareBars on your roof year-round.
The bars have plastic endcaps that help keep out water and road debris, and they give your roof rack a finished look.
Hassle-Free Installation
Installation of the SquareBars is quick and easy, and you don't have to do any drilling or vehicle modification. The bars have bottom channels that that accommodate your Thule feet. Etched scales adjacent to the bottom channels let you place the feet in the proper location using the vehicle-specific measurements provided in your fit kit manual. Simply slide each foot to the measurement indicated in the fit kit manual, and place the rack on your vehicle.
For applications that don't require specific measurements provided in a fit kit manual - such as a raised rail - you can center the rack after you place it on your vehicle using a tape measure.
To complete installation on your roof simply tighten a single screw inside each foot using the torque tool included with the foot pack. This single attachment point enables you to secure the crossbar to the foot and the foot to your roof simultaneously.
Maximum Cargo Carrying Capacity
SquareBars are compatible with most accessories that clamp around roof rack bars, including bike, water, snow, and cargo carriers. The bars extend past the roof rack feet to maximize space for mounting accessories and carriers to your roof rack.
Heavy-duty feet let you easily mount 2 Thule crossbars to your vehicle with a naked roof. Fit kit clips simply click into feet. Single attachment points let you tighten bars to feet and feet to roof simultaneously with included torque tool.

Evo Clamp feet let you mount 2 Thule WingBar Evo, SquareBar, or ProBar crossbars to your vehicle with a naked roof. Combine the feet and crossbars with a vehicle-specific fit kit to create a complete roof rack. The rack installs easily with click-in fit kit clips and the included torque tool.
Secure, Click-In Installation
Installing the fit kit onto the Evo Clamp feet is quick and easy. Just remove the lockable covers, click the fit kit clips into the feet, and slide the mounting pads onto the bottoms of the feet.
Slideable scales on the WingBar Evo crossbars and the etched measurements along the bottom channels of the SquareBars help you center the bars on your roof. Simply slide the slot track guides on the tops of the feet into the bottom channels or T-slots on the underside of your Thule crossbars using the vehicle-specific measurements provided in your fit kit manual.
Note: ProBars do not have slidable scales or etched measurements. You will need to measure foot placement from the center of the crossbars using a tape measure or ruler.
Place the fully assembled rack on your roof and tighten the rack in place with included torque tool. The single attachment point bolt lets you quickly secure the crossbars to the feet and the feet to your door jambs simultaneously. An audible click indicates the rack is secured properly. Replace the lockable covers on the feet to complete installation.
One-Key System Locks
Evo Clamp feet are compatible with Thule One-Key System lock cores (sold separately) that allow you to secure the rack to your roof. The One-Key System locks are all keyed alike so a single key opens all the locks. The locks can also be swapped out to make all of your Thule products keyed alike.
These custom clips and pads let you mount Thule Evo Clamp or Edge Clamp feet on your vehicle with a naked roof. The clips are easy to install - just slide them into the feet until they click. Rubber pads help protect your roof from scratches.

Protection for Your Roof
The rubber-coated steel clips and molded rubber pads protect your vehicle's paint from scratches and abrasions. The pads easily slide onto the bottom of each foot, and they are specifically designed to fit the shape and contour of your roof.

The combination worked out very well and we headed from Colorado Springs to Duvall Washington outside of Seattle with three stops along the way to kayak. The trip went smoothly and we appreciated the Hullavator ease lifting the boats. We have two more trips planned in the near future. We did mount the boats with cockpits down to avoid filling with water when traveling without a problem.
One of the Evo Clamps is missing the plastic plate where the rubber spacer attaches. Please send a new plate or new clamp so I can finish my install. See attached photos to see the difference.
I've had the roof rack for a year now and we only use it sporadically in the winter to put the ski box ontop of the car but it works great. Very easy to install and remove and very sturdy. Previously I had the kind that bolted into the roof of my SUV and had a terrible experience with that (we lost the rack and kayaks on the freeway and it tore holes in my roof). The clamp style is the only kind we'll get from now on because they are much sturdier and no risk of losing them. Definitely recommend them.
Classic square bar, but modern integration with the podium feet. Exactly what I was looking for.
I've owned this roof rack for a year now, and it has served my purposes (carrying my kayak around on my truck) quite well. It was fairly easy to assemble, largely because the entire instruction guide was in pictures.
I have had to retighten the rack a couple of times since putting it on the roof, so I tie the kayak down to the front and back of the truck as well as to the roof rack. I suspect the ocean kayak puts a bit of lift on the roof rack resulting in the loosening.
Worked Perfect & Secured a very heavy load in extreme weather & off road conditions
These bars are great and work fine. However the connection slots are not long enough to allow the 60” bars to work on our grand Cherokee. The 60” bars would give more clearance for our Thule Hullevators when they are in the lowered position. I had to develop a removable pad system to protect them from hitting the side of the car.
I have almost always had roof rails on my vehicles. My F150 had no rails and I was nervous about clamp style rack holders given what I tend to carry on top. These have been great and I am positive I have overloaded them numerous times.
I just got my packages and had it installed within the hour very satisfied
Car: 4 door Civic sedan
Bought this as a set along with a set of locks. They did not have the locks in stock, so when I went ahead of canceled that portion of the order, they were able to process and ship it out the next day. It took roughly 1 week for it to arrive.
Following the instructions they provide you with was fairly simple, there was a QR code scan for a video that you can watch as well. I assembled this along with ski carriers that I had as well. I did struggle a little bit with the spacing I needed to fit my snowboard, but it wasn't too much of a hassle.
After assembling it, I was impressed with how it looked and also how stable and tight it was when I was trying to shake it around. As for the test drive, I was very impressed with how there was no wind whistle and they did not fall off (peaked at 70mph).
Overall, I would say it's definitely worth it to buy a good quality cross bar set. And more importantly it was worth it to purchase it from a retailer that does a good job processing and shipping your order without any issues!
Not too difficult to put together (1.5 hrs approx. from scratch start to installed). The first time of measurements is a hassle as expected but not too bad. Looks cool and good as expected from a Thule product.
Product was right fit for my vehicle and installed perfectly. Etrailer was knowledgeable and got the goods to me quickly. Enjoyed working with them and will again.
Great quality products! Easy installation with properly guided instructions. One of the best tracking information, from ordering to delivery. Would strongly recommend etrailer to anyone looking for roof or hitch bike racks.
I like etrailer.com. They know their products. They listen to you. They perform for you. They have the ability to automatically spec-out an entire system (consisting of multiple components) and it works. You can bet on this company. I will definitely use them again in the future.
Easy install great product
2018 GMC Sierra duramax
etrailer fantastic customer service!
Thanks Lori B!
These worked great on my 2021 Honda CRV.
Worked great on my 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan's naked roof. Carried fully loaded car topper over 8,000 miles without needing any adjustments. Easy to install. Created a significant amount of whistling/howling when driving without a topper, so I wrapped a bungee cord around the front bar and secured it to the Thule feet. Voila. No more noise.
Great product from Thule. Fit my 2022 Ford Ranger perfectly and is very strong and secure when installed. Excellent customer service from trailer and extremely fast shipping.
Easy to install with the anchors and crossbars, and still holding up great a year later.
I bought the Thule Evo Roof Rack to transport my kayak on my Lexus 300H. Thule will advise you on their website that his particular rack is not right for a Lexus 300H (i.e., they don't make a roof rack for a Lexus 300H); it is really for a Camry, but etrailer told me that is worked, I trusted them and they were correct. After all, a Lexus sedan is really a fancy Camry, but Thule will not acknowledge this point. It works great. Thule makes a solid product.
Well packaged, arrived in good condition. Works as expected. Would be great to have additional fitment information available. The underside channels of the 53” bars were just barely long enough to fit Leer cap track system spaced 40” apart using the rapid podium feet (phew). Thought from the measurements there would be some room to spare but didn’t account for the angle of the podium feet.
So far so good! The ease of installation was incredible. Pop the fit kit together, put it on the bar and install. Everything is straight forward with the directions. Its even easier if you find a video of the installation. The rack definitely has a little bit of a whistle to it but its kinda expected when you disrupt the airflow. I'm going to pick up my new kayak tomorrow and couldn't be happier! Not the best photo but its all i got at the moment lol.
Easy to install, fit and finish are top notch.
Superb quality. Of course, it is from Thule and they are expensive for sure. But, you really get what you pay for!
And, just consider how expensive it would be if using something more affordable (cheap generic brand) and the racks/bars take off from the roof with the box on the highway!
These will not take off, super sturdy and fits the car perfectly.
Just be sure to get the right kit.
And follow the paper instructions coming along the parts.
Can recommend these, were for Nissan Leaf 2021.
And not to forget the etrailer company, they did their part as well with flying colors. All parts arrived in time and were correct!
The bars are nice but Thule pointedly does not include under bar cover strips with this style of bars. They include these strips with the other three styles of bars they sell. Including these strips would cut the wind noise these bars produce substantially. I overcame this omission by re-using an old 5/8 inch ID (7/8 inch OD) garden hose that I cut up and slid inside the bars from the ends.
