TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front

Get the safest and most comfortable ride while hauling your camper with tie-downs that mount on the frame of your pickup. Great for your truck's looks: remove the arms from the brackets and you'll hardly know that the brackets are there.

  • Creates attachment points for securing your camper to your truck bed
    • Requires turnbuckles (sold separately) to attach camper to tie-downs

    • Remove the arms and you'll hardly know the brackets are there
  • Adjusts for simple, secure connection to camper
    • Extend arms out from truck body to clear bowed sidewalls and fenders
    • Choose between 2 anchor holes to get the best angle for a secure hold
  • Made of black powder coated steel to resist corrosion
  • Mounts tight to your vehicle's frame - minimal loss of ground clearance
    • Uses pre-existing holes in the frame - little to no drilling required
  • Includes 2 front tie-downs and installation hardware
  • Made in the USA
  • Lifetime warranty

A Safe Ride is a Comfortable Ride

If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity will sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.

Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.

Don't Ruin Your Truck's Looks

Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush with the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not hauling your camper, and the brackets will be barely visible.

Custom Fit, No-Drill Installation

Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.

Securing Your Camper

TorkLift Tie Down Example

Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).

where to put camper tie downs

Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

these fit my '21 toyota tundra perfect. It took a little bit to figure out the instructions but once we got one side, the other side went well. two of us installed front and rear mounts in a little over an hour. I had Torklift on my 2002 tundra and they were very secure for my slide in, that's why I got them again for my new truck.

by: Paul04/14/2021

The rear camper mounts took 10 minutes each to install. The front ones took 22 minutes each. The mounting brackets are well built and designed. It would have been nice if the install instructions we’re online so we could have read them before we received the mounts.

TorkLift frame mounted tie downs are awesome. Just installed them today on the new Tundra and they are impressive. I have used Happijac tie downs in the past and they work and do the job. I wanted something a little beefier and TorkLift is definitely what I was looking for. Fairly straight forward install, takes a little tinkering but the fit is perfect and there is no doubt TorkLift did their homework. Great quality steel and welds look good. Great work TorkLift! Ordering from etrailer is always easy and they seem to have customer service dialed. They have better information on their site than most manufacturers.

This was a perfect fit on my 2017 Tundra. Installation took about 30-45 min per side. The most difficult step was threading some bolts through the frame holes. They hide nice when not in use.

by: 06/02/2024

Perfect. Easy install.

by: J In Tucson04/10/2020

I installed these on my 2018 Toyota Tundra myself. As advertised, they fit into existing bolt holes and installation was straightforward. My slide-in camper attached as advertised and the unit has been trouble free through some rough off road travel.

I recommend this item highly and prefer it to my previous camper tie down system.

2019 ToyotaTundra

Fits fine on the 2020 Toyota Tundra. I would suggest one change, though. It is rather difficult stringing the bolt through with the coiled wire without losing it inside the frame before getting the nut on. Therefore, I squared the ends of the bolts, drilled a hole through the square end, and twisted the wire through the hole. This made it so I could easily pull the bolt through the hole and hold the bolt in place while sliding the nut and washer down the wire to the bolt and screwing it on it. Pretty much impossible to lose. The square end also made it easier to hold the bolt while tightening down the nut.

by: Marlin 12/28/2022

Just like the other tie-downs, they work fine.

by: Donald09/27/2021

Install was pretty straight forward, they can only go on one way, They bolt right into position right in the same mounting holes that are used for your rear trailer hitch. An extra bolt is supplied for the 3rd bolt position.
Each side took about 15 minutes.
Very happy with the way it looks and they are easy to access.

Waited a year to buy these. Torque lift true frame mounted truck camper "brackets" I had an unusual truck...Tundra 2015 longbed single cab.(somewhat rare). PERFECT FIT! The amazing part: ordered on tuesday TWO DAYS later there here! Thanks Etrailer, I will buy my next items (fastguns) anchor "binder" kit from etrailer soon . Thank you.

by: cosres02/24/2017

This was a perfect match for my truck (2015 tundra oem hitch). Took 10 minutes to install using two existing bolts and one supplied. I do not like to bolt the camper to the bumper and these are the best option for me. Quality is good and is a secure source to chain my camper to.

by: Marlin 12/28/2022

Tie-downs work fine, as expected. Now I need to get better attachments!
