Speaker 1: Today, we're going to take a look at the Aries 2-inch Square Flush-Mount LED Work Lights, for a quantity of 2 lights. This pair of 2-inch work lights is designed to be flush-mounted onto a bullbar, a bumper, or other accessory. Each light itself will offer a 2200-lumen flood beam pattern. These are work lights. They use a Grade A Cree LED chip for superior quality. Has a nice rust-free aluminum housing with a rugged, crack-resistant LEXAN lens.
It is durable painted, UV-resistant, mar-resistant finish. Does use advanced optics system to reduce wasted light for 96% reflector efficiency. If you notice the back of them, they are a dual oversize heat sink to help maintain low efficient running temperatures, and it's an instant on and off, requires no warm-up time. They are IP 68 and IP 69K waterproof and dustproof ratings to keep the water and air out. They do pass the CE, the ROHS, the UV extreme temperature, vibration, dust and salt testing. They will operate in temperatures from a -40 degrees Fahrenheit up to 145 degrees Fahrenheit for extreme conditions. It does come with this nice, strong, waterproof wiring harness with the switch on it for reliable connection.
It does include the stainless steel mounting hardware and a couple of rubber seals to install when you go to install these lights. Average lifespan is 50,000+ hours. The lumens I mentioned are 2200 lumens per light. Quantity is for two lights. A few dimensions on this, the light itself is going to be 2 inches by 2 inches.
The face dimensions where the mounting bracket is, overall width edge to edge is going to be right at 4 and 7/8 inches. Top to bottom, 3 and 3/4 inches. The light base itself, overall width is going to be right at three inches, actually 3 and 1/4 inches, and the height is going to be right at 3 inches. The depth of the base is also right at 3 inches.what I'm going to do now is we're going to hook this up to some 12-volt power, just to show you how bright the lights are. I am going to use the harness with the switch on it.
We'll go ahead and take our connectors. These are the waterproof connectors, so we'll go ahead and plug the first light in. Once we get that all plugged in, then we'll take the second light. We'll go ahead and plug that one in. Again, it gives you a nice waterproof seal on your connections. It has the switch right here, so we're going to go ahead and connect our wires up. Then with our wires all connected, you can see if you just push in on that switch, the lights will come on.I am going to go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, just so show you how bright those lights are. With the overhead lights off, we'll go ahead and again take our switch and push it, and you can see how bright they are. Even on the switch, I don't know if you can see, but there's a little red dot that will show you it's on. You can see how bright they are, flood beam pattern. Again, just push it, and the switch will turn it off. Turn back on our overhead lights, but that should do it for the review on the Aries 2-inch Square Flush-Mount LED Work Lights for a quantity of 2.

Adjustable mounting brackets secure a LED light bar to your Aries bull bar, grille guard, or headache rack. Rustproof aluminum with black powder coat. Pedestal mount with included hardware.I have been shopping around for quality LED lights, and I did not want cheap Made in China goods. I took a chance with paying as much as I did for the pair of lights in this kit - and I am extremely pleased with the initial quality. The lights themselves are very hefty, with very large heat-sinks on the backside, and all the wiring appears to be solidly put together with high quality materials. That is important to me.
I nearly bought less expensive lights elsewhere an a major website known to all, but I drilled down in the reviews and saw a complaint or two about those cheaper lights developing condensation. Yuck, and a bad sign. These lights are fully wired in what seems to be very good workmanlike quality. Even the light switch is already put together. As a non-tradesman, honestly I was apprehensive about buying anything electrical in nature. The sole thing to do, aside for physically placing these hefty lights into whatever placement they are going into, is simply the final red wire (positive) and black wire (negative), both of which end with a bare mental circle for each. That bare metal circle looks to be firmly crimped, and then that crimped connection with the wire treated to what seems high quality heat shrink-wrap. All very assuring. I should also mention that the connections between each light's wrapped wires are finished in a quality connection that appears to be confidently weather/water resistant. And that circular on/off switch ( I think it is called a rocker switch) feels firm and has a quality "click".
These lights are listed as 2,200 lumens. For me its not clear if that is per light or combined as as set. Upon testing at nighttime, the light quality was pleasing and bright. However while I intend to use these lights, I now have a reference point and know I would like something even brighter with a broader beam of light. Perhaps a light bar, I am not sure. Based on my very positive impression of this assembly I am quite happy to purchase more lights from this company, knowing that if I choose something at an even higher price point I should expect to again be very pleased and satisfied with a very high quality product.
PS I do not normally bother to put so much effort into a product review, but I am so often disappointed with buying products online that up[on receipt I see are marginal junk, I thought this amount of effort was merited. Check back with me in a few months or a year for a final review of these lights and we will both know for sure!
Brackets worked perfect for my mounting application. Holes were at a odd distance and these brackets allowed me to mount the light easily.
