Custom Truck Accessories started in Reno NV, June of 1983. Initially it was named Custom Tops. It opened primarily as a top lot, stocking over 300 camper shells or tops. Ordering truck loads of tops weekly allowed Custom Tops to be the number one lot with LEER Truck Caps year after year. The name Custom Tops was used until September 1993 when it changed its name to CTA, short for Custom Truck Accessories.
