All very interesting products, but did you check the prices? anyone who spend $XX for a plastic step is crazy. skip spending $XX plus for what is basically a pop up tent.

When you put it in that context I would agree. But if you check out the step a little closer it actually has a weight capacity of 400 lbs and it helps to make installing things on your roof a LOT easier. Our video team uses the step on a regular basis out in the studio. And the tent that you referenced is an awning that mounts onto your crossbars. It retracts into a storage bag on your roof rack which makes it a great option for tailgating or hanging out around your vehicle. If you're looking for a popup tent then we have those too. @ElizabethC it's not a plastic step.... Its aluminum coated in plastic. If it was made of cheap plastic then it would be half the price
