New carpet for the bunks new brakes and backing plates as well as a new brake actuator. New wheel bearings and seals. This trailer is old a 1974 but all of the parts fit I was satisfied with all of the products I received and the timely manner in which they were delivered to my door I am very happy with the fine service I received a t trailer and the help and selecting the right parts thank you very much etrailer.
My trailer is over 25 years old and my concern was if I was going to be able to get the right parts. Everthing was still the same as back then. Much easier to replace the whole Assembly as opposed to randomly replacing a part here and there. I now have a new trailer...well almost
Got everything installed and after testing, brakes are working well. I have no major complaints. Price is good. I could have spent a few extra dollars for the galvanized backing plates but this is for a boat trailer that only gets towed 25 miles or so each way to a freshwater lake once or twice a week during the summer, so I went the cheap route.
A couple of notes: spend the 5 bucks on the accompanying hardware kit (nuts and washers). I didn't, figuring that I would just use the nuts and washers off of the old plates. Problem is that the bolts on the old plates were course thread and the bolts on these are fine thread. I had to go to about 4 stores to find fine threaded bolts in the right size. I would have saved myself a couple of hours on the install if I would have ordered the hardware from etrailer.
Second, on my trailer, two of the bolts were stalled with the bolt head on the outside of the axle with the nut on the inside of the plate. With these new plates, the bolts are not removable, which meant that I had to install two of the nuts with an open end wrench rather than an impact socket because there was not enough clearance between the nut when threaded onto the bolt and the axle. Not the end of the world and even if I knew that in advance I would have still purchased this same product. But it did end up taking an extra few minutes for each axle to install the plates, so it is something that I thought that I would note here.
Just a couple of quibbles that were specific to my trailer. But if I were to do it over again, I would still purchase.

Still working fine.
Excellent perfect match for my 2005 Jayco Baja trailer. Easy peasy to install. To make it easier to get the brake line threaded in... start it prior to bolting it into place.

I ordered the product on the 10th was suppose to be here the 17th called customer service the 17th guy tells me he apologizes the warehouse guys are slacking. They were unable to locate one of the items I ordered that’s why it hasn’t shipped. Not once did anyone reach out to me to offer to substitute. I am not some weekend trailer fixer upper. That might order 2-3 things a yr. I own a trailer rental company with 12 trailers in my fleet. I asked for over night shipping to get the items Friday so I could still meet my deadline by Monday as this particular trailer was scheduled to be rented starting Monday morning the 21st for 2 weeks. Your customer service agent said sorry we can’t offer overnight shipping on this order as we would be losing money…(had someone reached out to me between the 10th and 15th I would of had my order my the 18th) ….. well because of incompetent etrailer employees. My order was shipped ground despite requesting overnight shipping I lost a $3,000 dollar rental….. Because of that I am willing to pay double for a trailer part before I order from e trailer again.

They are a nice unit but the included studs need to come with lock washers and nuts . I had to drive out the studs and use my old bolts nuts and washers .

These replaced a set of brakes that had been on the axles for 20+ years. Brakes installed as expected, all fit great. Bleed the brakes and they are working great. Great purchase

These brakes look to be of good quality’. I am Replacing possibly the original set of four on an 18 year old boat trailer. Time with tell how these hold up in the saltwater.
It’s the right product for the correct application at a good price and good quality.
The FREE BACKING trailer brake is the way to go. No more having to lock the system out before you back up. No more forgetting to lock the system out before backing up. Had this for a year now and it works like a champ. I love E Trailer, they have everything for my 5 trailers.

After one year the brakes are performing great. I would buy again when they need replacement.
Brakes showed up a day earlier. Well packed and everything was there. Easy to install and very good quality.
I have ordered complete brake assemblies like these in the past for my 5th wheel. They are great and easy to install. No need to fight those springs and keepers that hole the brake shoes to the backing plate, (Pain) just remove the wheel and four bolts, install plate and wheel and adjust the brakes. Done in less than 30 min. a wheel. You save time and money! Great way to do your brakes and I like E-trailer's fast delivery.

Still working great, no problems!
only 3 stars because of one brake hub defective and had to send back.service on getting it replaced was excellent and timely.
Received my 10 inch brake kit.very fast shipping well packed .l was going to replace each part but this was a much better deal now I have all new parts.i ordered a surge brake actuator from a different site and am still waiting.will use etrailer from now on.

The brakes I order were easy to install and work very well. Have ordered other ltems all were received fast and on time thanks etrailer will be ordering again soon
I have had nothing but problems with the backing plates. I have adjusted them about every time I have taken my boat out. One time my boat trailer locked up both tires going down the road about 35 mph. good thing it wasn't any faster or I would have been in the ditch. I'm going to change back to the Manuel lockout brakes once I can get all new drums and brakes.
Shipment arrives on time as promised and they sure look good. I have a dropped axle trailer and I installed with the traditional adjuster at 6 o'clock position but with my dropped axle, I was not able to adjust the brake from outside. So I called etrailer help desk and the lady took down all my information and told me someone will call me back within 24 hours and they did and gave me a sound advice. Clock the plate so that the left adjuster will be at 9 o'clock position and right adjuster will be at 3 o'clock position. I did it yesterday, adjusted the brakes from outside, bleed the brakes and it works like it should be. Thank you etrailer and your supporting team.
Delivered in a timely manner. one shoe had slight damage but not bad enough to complain about. Have heavy boat that I bought used 4 years ago and trailer brakes had never worked. These bolted on easily, made slight adjustments and trailer brakes now work perfectly. Should have done this a long time ago.
Very happy, will order from etrailer again if needing brake parts.
Basically I just bolted these on and they were good to go. I bled them. the price is good and every thing is new and clean. Costumer service was real good about answering questions about product. nice to talk to a person when ordering.

Great service. Arrived early,fit perfectly on my 1989 mastercraft trailer. The only complaint that I have is that the ports for adjusting the drum brakes are blocked by the vertical part of my trailer axle. I believe this a just a poor design of the axle because the original brake backing plate adjusting port was in the same spot. Had to adjust by adjusting out until I couldn’t get the drum on,then pulling drum off to adjust the brakes in until the drum would fit on again.
Could not get my boat home from storage due to bearing and hub failure on the boat trailer. Talked to Tamarah M at etrailer to get the parts needed for onsite repairs. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. When one part was not in stock, she helped to expedite the shipping of the other parts, so I could at least begin repairs. I talked to her on Tuesday evening and the parts arrived on Thursday morning. Very appreciative of the excellent customer service from Tamarah and the entire etrailer crew. I own three trailers, and etrailer will always be my first choice for parts.
This is a great value for a right and left pair of complete drum brakes (except the drum). They were well made and fit up perfectly. My biggest problem was getting the old, rusted bolts and nuts loose. I was replacing a very rusted brake that had been used in salt water for about ten years.
I looked into changing to disk brakes and Dacromet coated was 4 times more and SS almost 10 times more so I will just replace these every 5 years.
This brake assembly uses studs and nuts (nuts not supplied) and the old one used bolts and nuts. Took a little bit of work because the bolt head on the old one didn't move and there wasn't enough clearance to get a socket around it. A little grinding solve that though. This is really a fault of the old axle and not this new brake assembly.

The order arrived quickly and packaged well. Only problem was that the lower staked in studs couldn't be used. Not enough clearance to get the nuts on after assembly to axle plate. I just knocked the lower studs out and replaced them with the studs & nuts that were on the original assembly.
New assemblies look well painted and the brake pads look good. These units were installed on a 1988 boat trailer; replacing the original brakes. I hope I get as much or more life from these brakes as I've gotten from the originals!

I ordered 4 complete brake /backing plate assemblies and 4 new hubs. My complete order showed up on time afew days later. After I got the trailer and boat jacked up and started to take things apart I overlooked not ordering the transitional flexible brake lines that go from the hard lines into the back of the brake assembly. After traveling for 30 minutes to a hydraulic brake line shop to have lines made up they told me they did not have the fittings I really needed these lines to get this job done for the weekend to get the boat out on the water. So I called etrailer and was connected to Tiffany who I must say provided the best customer service I've ever experienced she worked with me on getting the correct items and set up next day rush shipping. She even personally made sure that my order got out the door and called me personally to let me know . There aren't too many companies that goes to that length to serve their customers. The next day at 10 a.m. the were delivered to my front door. (From half way across the United States ) . I was trilled to say the least. Thank you etrailer and a special thank you to Tiffany. The complete brake and line replacements our working great 1 year later. And I put alot of miles on my trailer both to salt water and fresh water.
Work great easy to install. Put them on my boat trailer I have brakes again!!

Fast shipping, good parts
After launching my boat, my left trailer wheel with drum brakes started locking up on my 2005 boat trailer. Thus, I decided to replace all brake and hub assemblies including both backing plates. I found all parts online from etrailer.com, and it was an easy repair.
I contemplated changing from drum to disc brakes at this time and get rid of the heavy hubs. However, I would have to replace the drum brake actuator with a higher pressure disc brake actuator, and I would have to run a wire to the reverse lights to keep the disc brakes from engaging when backing uphill.
24 yr old boat trailer brake cylinder finally fails. Brake shoes very thin. Every thing rusty and dirty.
I look at cylinders only, pads only, then found these! Everything new at reasonable price and delivered on time.
First trip found them to be smooth in operation. did not jam on at the last minute like the old ones did. THANKS etrailer.
Hey George just got done installing your brake system on my Carkins dual axle boat trailer, what are nice product they went on beautiful no issues whatsoever extremely satisfied following is a picture of before and after , I just bought the boat and trailer and could not believe the condition of the brakes
I gave the brakes only 4 stars because I just put them on and have not road tested them. They look great for rust prevention as they are for a boat trailer, I will be road-testing them tomorrow, and I'm sure they will get 5 stars.

I bought these right and left hydraulic brake assemblies for my boat trailer at a great price. I received my order one day earlier than promised. Etrailer.com really rocks to satisfy it’s customers. They provided an awesome tracking link for me to review my order’s shipping progress. This is the best tracking link that have ever experienced. Both complete brake assemblies fitted perfectly in place of my old assemblies. On each Brake assembly, I just had to remove the 4 mounting bolts from the axle flange and the hydraulic hose. Then install the new complete brake assembly, tighten the 4 mounting bolts and makeup the hydraulic hose.. This made this brake job a breeze! It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Great replacement. Took off the old crud and cleaned up the mount. The new assembly bolted right on.
Everything was great except and fit like a glove. No issues at all.
Product looks great, heavy-duty and ready for install! Would have given 5-Star if the shipping boxes weren't damaged.

Brakes work well and are a good value. I also bought an actuator and new lines to replace an existing, old trailer brake system.

The gravity bleeding system that the etrailer video shows did not work for me.
I repeatedly pulled on the emergency breakaway handle on the actuator to fill and bleed the system.
Shipping time was quick ,direct bolt on, seem to function well.

I primarily use this trailer in salt water and the shoes are holding up pretty good so far,I’ve put it in the water about 15 times now and shoes have no signs of cracks yet I usually replace em about every two yrs just as preventative maintenance.

Its been a year now since I have installed the hydraulic trailer brake kit assembly and drums to my boat trailer and they have been working as great as the day I installed them. No issues
