We attached the roof vent to our John Deere Gator and with it open the air flow increases significantly and keeps the inside cooler on hot days. Great product, easy to install, and we highly recommend.

I used one of the two I purchased in my 1971 W200 dodge truck its like free A/C, no not really but it helps flow air through my cab for those 9 months of stifling Florida heat an humidity. No leaks when closed. Great price. I paid 100 bucks more then a scraper paid for the truck (300) drive it almost everyday its a beater for sure but has good airflow...

I installed this on the roof of a Polaris RZR (UTV SXS) to let in more air on those hot days and it works great, it is well made and rugged enough to withstand brush or tree limbs rubbing on it when riding a trail.

These vents are very well made and a bargain for how durable they are. Installation was simple - after using the gasket as a template, a drill and a jigsaw to cut the hole, and a screwdriver to mount the vents, was all that was needed.
My only criticism is that the holes are big enough to let insects smaller than a honey bee into the trailer, but I mitigated that by placing a piece of fiberglass window screen into the opening as I mounted the vent (see photo). This means that I can now only operate the vents from the outside, and I made that easier by putting some white lithium grease on the friction points.
My little DIY enclosed trailer will now stay cooler in the warm months with the vents allowing the hot air to escape and never having a chance to build up in the first place.

I fly large scale (100cc) radio control airplanes in International Miniature Airplane Model (IMAC) competitions. I needed a light weight enclosed trailer to transport my planes and equipment to competitions. Mounted on my can am commander 1000 roof. I would mount more forward as air comes in at about 45 degree angle. Used black hex bolts so looks good. Very solidly made and helps with heat inside. I did get the inside piece to make look better, had to cut down depth which is a bit tricky but makes inside look really good.

This is a great roof vent for an enclosed trailer. Suited my needs for more ventilation perfectly. This vent is super tough and easy to install. Took me 30 minutes start to finish. Great product!

These installed fairly easily. I wish there had been more instructions for installation but it was easy enough to get it in correctly. There is an inner trim ring that I recommend. Opening the vent takes more effort than I was expecting and without the inner trim ring one could easily cut themselves. All in all it looks good functions as it should and doesn't leak. It just slightly hard to open.

These Vents are solid steel and the mechanism is almost aircraft-quality with the actuation totally solid and precise. I cut holes in my existing car trailer vent openings and these large ovals move 2x the air. I installed one front and rear.

Either would work just as well as the other with the only real difference being that one is painted black and the other is aluminum.

This vent was bought to replace one of the roof vents on my recently purchased used horse trailer. The top section of the existing vent was completely missing so rain could come right on in. It was easy enough to remove the damaged vent. Took a bit of elbow grease to remove the old sealant off the roof. The new vent is EXACTLY the size needed and installing it took less than an hour. Now the vent is fully functional once again and no more rain coming straight into the trailer either!

I replaced all 4 rusted and broken vents. The new vents with rubber gaskets fit perfectly, used the same holes. A very easy install, maybe 1.5 hrs.

These vents have been holding up perfectly. Great for transporting the dog or goats when it's warm out. I mounted them to a fiberglass truck cap.

I needed these vents to get more air into my older Kingston trailer that has a small tack room, although there is a window that opens on front it does not allow enough air into horses because of the petition, so I installed two of the vents from etrailor and now I have great air flow to my horses. I would recommend when a person orders the vents that they have nuts and bolts sent at the same time, I used stainless steel but that entailed a trip to the hardware store.
These vent came well packaged and in a timely manor, well made and should last a long time.

Love this vent! It was fairly easy to install, and works great. It was installed in the tack room/dressing area of a 2 horse trailer. The tack room was like an oven with no fresh air and this vent has completely alleviated that problem.
The website was easy to use, the product was reasonably priced, and the product arrived timely.
We have no complaints, and recommend etrailer.com to everyone!

Not my first order from etrailer and definitely not my last. My only complaint would be in the packing of small or fragile items loosely in a box with heavier items. One of the trailer light mounts was broken when it got here. No other issues though.

Haven't installed yet. Will be adding to my 5x8 RV trailer. I just spent 4 nights camping in rainy weather and found I need better ventilation than just side windows. This looks like a good add on for me when paired with a vent fan. Conveniently bought a Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent with 12v Fan at the same time as this pop-up vent. Will install the pop-up vent in the rear wall of the trailer and the Roof vent at the front. These two items together should keep the trailer ventilated for both Air Conditioning and Electric Heating without allowing excess moisture or rain through the windows. Only gave 4 stars because I haven't yet installed these items.

I ordered this product to use as a vent in my horse trailer tack room to vent out a generator exhaust. This generator is plugged into my truck camper so I can have AC when not plugged in to electric. I have show dogs that travel with me. I have used this type of vent before, and they work well, but this is the first time I have ordered from etrailer. What a superb company to do business with. The order was instrumented immediately, and sent ahead of schedule and arrived before the delivery date!! I will order from etrailer again when needed. I will send a photo when the vents are mounted. Awesome vent unit. Installation was straight forward, and a foam gasket is included. This is the same type of vent used on USPS, FedEx, and UPS delivery trucks.
I painted mine white to match the 99 E250 I put it in. I installed this to give my single rear seat some extra airflow.
For installation, I traced the inner diameter of the gasket, and marked each of the 12 mounting holes. I drilled a single 1/2" hole to insert a pneumatic body saw into and cut along the line I traced. Then I drilled the holes. I chose to use nut-serts as my fastener. I drilled the mounting holes on the vent bigger, and inserted the rivet-like 10-24 nutserts. Then I added some silicone to both sides of the gasket and bolted it in. I filled that up with a bead of elastomeric caulking on the outside.
I haven't felt the airflow yet, but it should be sufficient with the pop-out windows on the doors. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I bought these vents to put in the topper of my truck to get some airflow for our dogs. We travel with them from Iowa to southern Missouri and in the summer it gets far too hot in the bed of the truck to travel for long, making the 8 hour trip take much longer. I sat in the back with our dogs to test out the airflow while my wife drove us around... Wow is the airflow good! These vents look good, function well, are easy to install, and they do exactly what I wanted them to. Very satisfied with these vents.

My originals vents were rusted and became inoperable. I ordered 4 new ones. A perfect fit over the existing holes, had to purchase sealant from Lowes, installed in an hour. One year later, no leaks, open and close smoothly...and they are still shiny as the day I bought them.

Overall a good vent however it should come with hardware and also the inside garnish because without it air can’t flow smoothly when installed on the walls of a trailer

After a year we would still highly recommend this vent for any utility vehicle that does not have AC. Several friends have added this vent unit to their utility vehicles and have noticed the air flow with the vent open keeps the interior cooler.
