When changing the amount of steps you have on an RV like with the # SMFP-3100 it's pretty common that the widths of the brackets don't match up perfectly, but the good news is you can still install a different set as long as you are willing to make some modifications.
What you can do is see if you can move the brackets you have now, weld the steps directly to the frame, or also you could go with new outriggers like part # LC301704 to replace what you have. view full answer...
