For your 1979 Buick Electra the Curt hitch part # C12009 is actually the correct fit and not the one you mentioned as it fits other vehicles that are much different. Then for a trailer wiring kit the Curt part # C59236 is the best option for you.
For a ball mount then the part # C45522 is the correct one for the hitch mentioned. For hitch balls you'd want the part # C40018 for a 2 inch ball or part # C40001 for a 1-7/8 inch ball. view full answer...
I do have a solution I think will work for you, but the CIPA Dual-View Baby Mirror, # CM49606, is not really designed for the application you need. The force of the wind as you travel would probably be enough to dislodge it. The mirror is also on the small side since it is supposed to be used inside of a vehicle.
