When a 5th wheel hitch's height is raised to increase clearance between the bottom of the trailer overhang and the tops of the truck's bed rails this can put the trailer into a nose-high orientation. Since trailers tow best when they are level it can be necessary to then also shift the pin box upward on its trailer mounts to restore the trailer to a level stance.

Some of them come with hydraulic brakes. To replace the electric brakes on your Heartland's 7,000 lbs axles you will want the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit item # 23-464-465. These are the self adjusting brake assemblies you are looking for. You will need one set per axle.
