The Yakima SkyRise # Y79XR has a 210 denier rating whereas the HD # Y07437 has a 600 denier rating, which means that the HD's fabric is about three times as thick. I've camped in the HD in 40 - 80 degree weather and felt that it was enough to accommodate the lows and definitely needed the zippered windows open during the highs. The SkyRise being a bit thinner would give you more airflow to help with the higher temps but would likely require more to stay warm.

Either harness you referenced would work just fine for you, but I would personally choose the Tow Ready # 118536 as it has a higher amperage rating than the Curt model.
