Hello Jeffrey. It is possible to use a solar panel to help power your AC unit. The solar panels would serve the purpose of recharging your batteries, and are not used to directly power an AC unit. You would have to have a very large solar panel, along with clear sunny skies in order to generate enough power to run a 13,500 btu AC unit.
