But the good news is that you most likely don't need additional lights. Hey Nick, so your life will be easier if you stick with a disc brake setup that allows you to keep your current wheel stud size since that wouldn't require you to get new wheels. So if you are sure you have 9/16 inch wheel studs the part # HSE7K-T1 would not be the kit to go with.

You'll want to jack up one side of the trailer and remove the wheel and hub in order to get to your bearings, grease seal, and spindle. When removing the hub you'll first take out the outer bearing. When you take the hub off and flip it around you'll see the grease seal, which will cover the inner bearing. You can use a seal puller or a flathead screwdriver and hammer to pop the old grease seal out to see the inner bearing. Taking the grease seal out will ruin it so you'll... view full answer...
Hey Loren, the best disc brake actuator kit for a triple axle trailer is the Hydrastar kit part # HBA16-252-82 which comes with the best and most reliable actuator from our experience. This will also require an additional brake line kit since it's a tripe axle which we have with the part # 9579-01. Aside from that all of the electrical and hydraulic parts are covered.

I am happy to help set you up Rafael. In order to add brakes to your 1998 Starcraft pop up camper, the axle must have a brake flange attached behind the hub assembly on each side. If the current axle does not have a brake flange you can either replace the axle entirely, or you can have a brake flange welded to the axle. Generally replacing the axle is our preferred method, since welding on brake flanges requires special equipment and it can be expensive.
