The Replacement Threaded Pin for Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device 853-5917 is a replacement pin for the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2. view full answer...
The Brophy 2" Stainless Steel Hitch Ball part # SC23-C will work out great with the Flash Self-Locking Aluminum Ball Mount part # DTLBM8600.
For an anti rattle for it use the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches part # RM-061 this is my go to anti rattle because it is very effective at keeping things secure. I've linked a video on it for you to check out. view full answer...
I would love to but the Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed Cargo Carrier item # Y74ZR you purchased already comes with a locking anti-rattle hitch pin. It does a great job of reducing rattle and also secures the system to your hitch. view full answer...
Hey Matt,
The etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer # e99007 is essentially just a U-bolt so you'd just need to tighten it up a bit more than normal to meet the 1-1/4" shank on your rack. view full answer...
Hey Andrew, yes the Convert-a-Ball Ball Mount part # AMSCV-4 is compatible with hitch locks like the part # HRLHP2. It would not be compatible with anti-rattle hitch locks though since the shank is not hollow. view full answer...
While typically manufacturer specific we have found that the Hitch Tite Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock item # SA3022 works extremely well with the Reese Q-Slot 4-bike bike rack. This is a 5/8" pin with a useable bolt length of 3-5/8". view full answer...
With just using a cargo carrier or bike rack you should not see any damage to either the hitch mounted accessory or the receiver tube. Using a Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232 like your found will not only help to eliminate the play but it also is great at reducing theft since it tightens down on the receiver and has a lock. While a lock can quickly be broken off by a thief the threaded bolts tend to be something they are not prepared for. view full answer...
We have the replacements for the knob of your Thule Apex XT, part # TH9024XT, here.
For the knob itself, you will need the Replacement Locking Knob for Thule Bike Racks, part # TH79JV. I've linked to a video review of this below.
Since you didn't have this to begin with, you will also need the One-Key System Lock Cylinders, part # TH450200. I've linked to a video review of this, too.
If you still need additional components, let me know. These are the only available. view full answer...
Hey Madison,
Kuat actually has 2" adapter # D101 that's designed to work with the 1-1/4" shank on your Kuat NV 2.0 # NV12B that will also work with your original hitch pin. You'll be able to remove the reducer you have in the receiver and slip the rack with this adapter on it right in and tighten down the anti-rattle device built into the shank to prevent movement. I've attached a video below where Aiden will walk you through installing it. view full answer...
The etrailer Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock # e99047 is an M16 bolt while the bolt that comes with the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock # THSTL2 is an M12, so even if the thread count was the same they wouldn't be compatible.
If you're just needing to replace the bolt for your Thule bike rack then you can use part # TH62RE, otherwise if you need the lock and washers then you'll need the kit # THSTL2 instead. view full answer...
Hi Adam!
The Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # SA4414B will only work with the Saris brand of locking hitch pin so the kit you're looking or is the 8' Cable Lock and Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Saris Hitch Mounted Bike Racks # SA984.
Since the Freedom does come with an anti-rattle hitch bolt already, you can potentially just use a longer cable lock like the 10' etrailer # e98891 and just wrap it in and around your bikes, the bike rack, and through the safety chain loop on your trailer... view full answer...
I recommend using the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 on your connections. I find the simple design and zinc coating are more corrosion resistant than other painted versions. Do be careful with the amount of tongue weight you have as the amount of extension you have puts a lot of force on the receiver. view full answer...
The # SA3022 will fit your Thelma 2 but it is considered an optional accessory so it doesn't match the brass bolt you're describing. The Replacement Hitch Tite Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin for Saris Bike Racks with 1-1/4" Shanks # SA3015 would be the standard replacement with that brass colored bolt. view full answer...
Hey Tom,
There is a bike rack I highly recommend for your 2024 Toyota Crown and the Curt Trailer Hitch # C77ZV, which is the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # SA4412B.
What I love about this rack is its unique combination of being easy to handle but also really strong. It weighs a mere 22-1/2 lbs but still has a 60 lb per bike capacity so it'll work even with ebikes. I also really like how it has a shank that rises 8 inches to help ensure it doesn't touch the ground. That rise is... view full answer...
Hey Chris, thanks for all of the information and photos!
The part you're wanting for your older Yakima FullSwing 4 (8002403) is the kit 8780024, but it has been discontinued by Yakima so the only way you'll be able to get that exact setup is if an individual seller just happens to have that exact piece.
The solution that Yakima has for your bike rack now is to switch over to the Replacement 2" Anti-Rattle Hitch Bolt Assembly # Y8780022 which uses a 1/2" bolt and nut as opposed to the... view full answer...
If you're referring to the bolt that comes with the Replacement 2" Receiver for Curt Multi-Ball Adjustable Ball Mount # C45802 that is actually the anti-rattle bolt. It is 1/2" - 13, 1", grade 5. If you are referring to where it mounts to the # D900 it uses 5/8" hitch pins or locks like # e98881. view full answer...
Sounds like you are looking for the anti-rattle device part # 63232 Rick. This is a threaded, locking hitch pin designed for 2 inch hitches. I really like that the lock is perpendicular to the pin as it makes it a little easier to access with the key. The locking hitch pins aren't classified by hitch Class but this can for sure be used with a Class IV hitch. view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76020 for your 2023 Mazda CX-9 is no longer compatible with the J-Pin 63201. Draw-Tite stopped making their receivers compatible with this pin in 2021 and we have long sold through all those receivers. We do offer their QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover # 63080 which will also help to reduce the rattle on 2" ball mounts and hitch mounted accessories. But you will still need a separate Lock # e98882 to secure everything.
I do recommend... view full answer...
Hi Rosa; the correct replacement pin for your # e98874 is the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers # e99047. This also upgrades you to a lock. I wouldn't say any 5/8" threaded hitch pin will work since there is a large variety with various threads out there. view full answer...
