Hey Paul, thanks so much for the purchase from etrailer of the Curt T-Connector # C56251 for your 2016 Kia Sportage. It isn't going to be the converter that is bad if just the turn signals don't work. It could be the ground being bad; make sure the ground to the driver side light is attached to bare metal surfaces and free of any paint, dirt or corrosion.
