The best way to add rails to your 2001 F-250 is the Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches # DM6140. This drops into the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch giving you industry standard rails. There are some limitations, mostly pertaining to sliding hitches, which I will add below.
Do not use this adapter with the Demco Hijacker Autoslide hitch or any other automatic sliding fifth-wheel trailer hitch.
Do not use this adapter with a B & W Patriot slider fifth-wheel... view full answer...
The Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # AM3200 is compatible with industry standard rails. For a set of ISR rails for your 2020 Ford F-150 you can use the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C38ZV. This comes with custom fit brackets that mount to the existing holes in your frame so no drilling is required. view full answer...
Great question, Frank!
The B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270 has a height range of 17" - 19" so just add that to the height of your base rail kit on your 2017 Ford F-250 and you'll be able to see for certain if it will fit with your tonneau cover.
The B&W hitches typically fit just fine under tonneau covers but it's always best to double check the math. view full answer...
The Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16411-204 will not fit your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 as you already have the Rails # C60604 for a gooseneck hitch installed where the rail brackets mount. If you have the Double Lock # C607-604 you can use the Adapter # C16210 for using a 5th wheel hitch. view full answer...
Hey Thomas, so B and W does have a fifth wheel hitch that fits the Reese above bed rails you have in the bed of your truck but the Companion that you mentioned does not as it only fits into B and W Turnoverball gooseneck hitches.
So instead what you would want is the B and W Patriot fifth wheel hitch part # BWRVK3255 which does fit to the Reese rails you have now. view full answer...
Hey Daniel, so we have the Curt X5 adapter part # 16310 which is designed to fit the B and W Turnoverball rail kit you have and provide you with a set of industry standard fifth wheel rails. But there isn't a traditional rail kit that will fit with your current hitch. view full answer...
For a 2022 GMC/Chevy truck the Curt fifth wheel rail kit part # C16429-204 is the correct fit and for just the bracket kit the part # C16429 is correct...BUT the bracket kit is not compatible with Pullrite rails. You can't mix and match the bracket and rail brands so you would have to go with the Curt complete rail kit. If the hitch you have is a Pullrite and it's one of their ISR style hitches it will be compatible with this rail kit. view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, Matt!
The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Toyota Tundra # C16468-204 will work with your Reese 30099 5th wheel hitch head, similar to the Pro Series # PS30099, as long as you have the industry standard legs equipped (which it should have).
If you aren't sure about the legs on your hitch, just reference the attached photo to see what the industry standard spacing is for the rails to make sure this matches what you have. view full answer...
Hey Ritchie!
It looks like the OEM puck systems started with the 2016 model year for the GM trucks so you'll need to reach out to a GM shop/dealer to see if they have OEM brackets available and if those will actually fit your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500.
If you aren't able to get the brackets then I recommend installing the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16411-204 which gives you industry standard base rails. These are different from the puck system but if you let me know what 5th... view full answer...
Hi Matt,
The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Toyota Tundra # C16468-204 has industry standard spacing (22" front to back) so any hitch with this ISR spacing will fit. To my knowledge each of the hitches you listed have industry standard spacing so you'll be good to go. view full answer...
Hi Charles,
Yes, the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit # CU96FR are a confirmed fit for your 2022 Ram 3500, but they'll need Curt branded base rails in order to work. There's currently two options available depending on the paint job you'd prefer; # C16104 comes with a glossy black finish and the # C16204 comes with a carbide (matte) finish. Personally, I prefer the # C16204 as it can hide scratches better than a glossy finish and doesn't tend to chip away as easily. view full answer...
Hi Brian,
The MORryde 5th Wheel Cross Brace Landing Gear Stabilizer # MR72AR mounting brackets require a square tube design in order to install so these braces won't be a fit for your round tube landing gears. Instead you'll need the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit for 5th Wheel RVs w/ 58" or More Between Landing Gear # LC191023 or # LC191024 (Less Than 58" Between Landing Gear).
In the video attached below Brad installed this system on a round tube system by using adapters # LC314592... view full answer...
Since you have an 09 Silverado I imagine the rail kit you have is the Reese 30061 which looks like the picture below. The Replacement Puck Plug Covers for Elite and Signature Series Fifth Wheel Rails # 58199 are designed to fit the pucks on this rail system. If you have something else, please feel free to email me a picture and I will see if I can help. view full answer...
Hey Peter, thanks for the pictures of your leaf springs loaded and unloaded. I don't think we've ever had anyone send us pictures for that before so that is interesting to see. That's quite a bit of sag and it looks like your overload springs are just about to start to get engaged. With that said, yes, the Sumosprings kit part # SSR-128-47-2 does fit your truck and is going to do a great job getting rid of that sag without making the ride quality to harsh so this would be a great idea for... view full answer...
The 16,000 lbs Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # RP30047 needs the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter item # RP30156 to attach to the Ford factory puck system. There are no special legs you can purchase to attach the hitch directly without the adapter. view full answer...
Hi David; we do have an adapter that fits the puck system of your 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 that will allow you to use your Reese 5th wheel hitch. All you need is the following:
- Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch - Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C47BR
The title says "for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch" but it is not just for Curt 5th wheel hitches; your Reese hitch will 100% fit this adapter. view full answer...
I'm assuming you have above bed rails in your 2001 Silverado 2500. I would go ahead and double check to make sure they are industry standard by matching them to the measurements below. Assuming they are, you can use the B&W Patriot # BWRVK3270 if you have a short bed or the # BWRVK3200 if you have a long bed.
If you have different measurements you will have to figure out what system the rails are from to find a 5th wheel hitch that fits.. They may be from an older discontinued system... view full answer...
Hey Carl, yes the Curt E16 hitch part # C16115 does work with the Demco rail kit adapter and a Reese Revolution pin box but due to it's loose jaw design it would not be my first choice.
Instead I would recommend the Curt A16 part # C16120 which also fits both the rail adapter and pin box, has the same height range as the E16 but has a much nicer jaw design so it will be a lot quieter. view full answer...
Whille the Blue Ox Fifth wheel hitch BXR2100 our part # BLU52XR was not designed to provide additional turning clearance I looked up your Grand Design 150 Series Model 260RD and since it has a tapered nose and an extended pin box you would be able to make tight turns with the setup you mentioned. view full answer...
