There are several parts you will need to add electric brakes to a trailer. First, you need to replace the idler hubs with a hub and drum assembly. Your Pontiac Vibe GT can be equipped with either a Class I or Class II type 1-1/4-inch hitch. Since you want to use your Kuat NV 2-inch hitch bike rack # NV22G you will want to use the higher-capacity Class II hitch # C12221 from Curt. You could use a Taillight converter like part # 118158 in conjunction with a wiring kit like part # RM-154. You can omit the converter from the wiring and the Vibe would not have the amber turn lights while being towed, but they would work when the vehicle is driven.
