Since you have rewired your trailer and have tested it successfully with another vehicle, it is most likely that the trailer lighting issue you are having is related to the harness installation in your Juke. It might be the tester. If the tester uses LED lights and it is a powered harness there can be some bleed off from the harness. This is normal and since LED lights require such little power draw they would light up a little.

There are a couple things to check before replacing the unit, which may be the answer. First, check your vehicle fuses as listed in your owners manual. There are specific fuses for trailer use on your vehicle. The second thing to check is the ground wire on your wiring harness. If the ground is bad and isn't getting the bare metal to metal contact it could have worked and then suddenly stopped working as you stated. Use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to check functions.
