Hey Buddy, so the Fastway Adjustable Ball Mount part # DTSTBM6825-2S is a really great choice for the 2-1/2 inch hitch of your 2021 Ford F-250 which is going to be very solid in your hitch due to it's built in anti-rattle device that is easy to use. This acts as somewhat of an anti-theft device as a thieve would need to know that it's an allen wrench that is needed to loosen the device and they'd have to have the right size wrench.
But what you can also go with is a hitch lock like the... view full answer...
Hey Lance, we are pretty sure that the correct Bearing Kit is part # BK1-150 which has bearing numbers # L44649 for inner and outer but we would have to recommend you double check by pulling the bearing out or measuring the spindles where the bearings ride. They would need to be 1.06 inches for both bearing surfaces. view full answer...
Hi Sandra; does your Jayco 23B have standard, round axles (we have no way of knowing which axles any trailer has, which is why I ask)? Assuming it does, and and the axles are 3,500 lb, 2-3/8" diameter axles you can use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00.
This puts the trailer's leaf springs to the top of the axle and will raise it the same amount as your axle's diameter plus the height of the leaf spring pack. Another option, even if your leaf springs are... view full answer...
Hi Jesse,
In order to make sure I'm recommending the correct bracket kit I'm going to need to know the model of the brush guard. If you don't know it then send me some pictures and I can try to identify it. view full answer...
Hey Tommy, thanks for reaching out!
If you look around you'll see a variety of ways to get your truck setup for both 5th wheel and gooseneck towing, but out of all the available options I highly recommend the B&W setup that includes the following parts for your 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500:
- Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1020
- 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3500
I really like this setup because it gives you a gooseneck hitch that is easily hidden when you aren't towing, and then that also serves... view full answer...
Hey Bob, with the CE Smith Guide Ons part # CE27620 we have the longer U-bolt kit part # CE11416 which was designed for frames that are 5-1/4 inches tall like you have. They are actually 6 inches tall so you'd have the needed thread length. view full answer...
Hey Vincent, with the trailer wheel part # AM20242 I would recommend the metal valve stem part # AM20906 that is really well-made and can handle higher pressures. view full answer...
Thank you for providing that information. The correct bearings are the # 25580 and # 15123 with a # GS-2250DL (10-36) grease seal. If you want a full bearing kit it would be the # BK3-100. view full answer...
Hi Dan,
Reese hasn't had a 2024 F-250 in yet to test fitment of the Reese Under-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit # RP39FR. The brackets needed to connect the 30180 to the frame are part 30182 or # RP27FR. With both the 2023 and 2024 models using the same gooseneck hitches there's likely no change in fitment and this would work with a 2024, but no one has confirmed it yet. view full answer...
Since you already have a 4-way on your 2000 Tundra the only thing you need to add is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, and everything else required to upgrade your 4-way to a 7-way. The included adapter has both a 4-way and 7-way connection. The Prodigy P3 # 90195 will splice in for installation.
I have attached some installation videos below for your reference. view full answer...
Digital torque wrenches can be vastly more accurate than a mechanical torque wrench, but the quality of the digital torque wrench plays a big part in the accuracy. A good digital torque wrench will set you back quite a bit more than a mechanical torque wrench like part # PT79FR. Both digital and mechanical torque wrenches need to be recalibrated regularly and mechanical torque wrenches need to be set back to zero every time in order to maintain calibration. When it comes to the lug nuts... view full answer...
Thanks for the details, Mark!
According to my research it looks like that #19 gear is no longer available so you'll either need to try to find it on something like a marketplace or we'll need to get you set up with a new winch.
If you're unable to find the part on a marketplace then I recommend checking out the Fulton XLT Single Speed Winch # F99CR which is rated for 1,500 lbs and comes with a 20' strap so it's pretty standard. Let me know if you need something with a higher rating and... view full answer...

In the past we've found that the trailers that have 31 inch wheelbases use the equalizer # TREQ104 so based on that the correct kit you'd need would be the part # AP233. view full answer...
Can you get me the axle capacity and the wheel bolt pattern of your trailer? I would need that info to determine what is needed for disc brakes. In meantime I attached a help article that covers adding disc brakes to a trailer as well. view full answer...
Good news for you Stephen - since your 2023 Ram ProMaster 2500 already has the factory tow package, the only things you'll need are the brake controller and wiring harness and you're all set. Here are the exact parts for you:
- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR
- Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED69FR
This is a splice-in harness, which is needed because your ProMaster doesn't have a port for a brake controller, even with the tow package. view full answer...
To determine if support brackets are needed to accommodate the weight of the bikes/rack you'd be placing in the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 you would need to contact Keystone and ask what the weight capacity of the rear bumper is. You could also reach out to a local fabrication/welding company and have them take a look/weld on some extra supports to ensure that the bumper can handle the weight. view full answer...
Hi Wally,
To determine if the truck can tow the trailer you'd need to subtract your truck's curb weight from its Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (GCVWR). This information can typically be found in the owner's manual, on the driver's side door jamb, or on a sticker in the glove box. Once you have this number you can compare it to the GVWR of the trailer to see if the truck is capable of safely towing it.
Adding air springs in to help support the suspension would definitely be a good... view full answer...
I checked with Tekonsha and a few other brake controller manufacturers and they state that your 2024 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 does not have an OEM brake controller install port under the dash like previous models so you would have to hardwire in the Prodigy P2 # 90885 with the universal install harness it comes with and the brake controller install kit part # 5506 which wires to the OEM 7-way you have. view full answer...
