The tow loops on the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31180 are recovery points that you can hook a tow strap to like part # EM59700 and pull yourself out with if you ever get stuck. I do not recommend using a molly bolt to attach the extension rod brackets on a Solera RV Slide-Out Awning like part # LCV000165063. The bottom line is that you need to find the backing and attach the extension rod bracket to this as there would not be enough support without doing this. Since you already have the factory wiring harness, you do not need the Tekonsha Custom Wiring adapter # 3040-p for your 2013 Toyota Tundra. The factory harness functions should be labeled, you cannot go by wire color since there is no standard for wire coloring. From what I have found, the factory harness has an additional green wire you will not need that may be taped off.

I think what you mean is does wiring harness # HA81785-HBC require a separate and additional ground wire for a 2014 Toyota Tundra. Good news! It doesn't. Only the Tekonsha brake controller wiring harness, # 3040-P, has that additional ground wire since the ground in the factory connection point is insufficient for the Tekonsha controllers.

Assuming that your 2014 Toyota Tundra has the factory 7-way trailer connector, in addition to the # RED24FR Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty, you'll also need the # 331-TPH-017 pigtail and the # 3040-P wiring adapter. The problem that you are experiencing is due to several more connections that need to be made at the rear of your 2008 Toyota Tundra. You will need a Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, # 37185, if you do not already have one. Your factory 4-Way will plug into the back of this unit. If your Tundra came with a brake control wiring harness you can use that to hardwire and install the Prodigy brake controller. If you prefer there is a custom wiring harness from Tekonsha,part # 3040-P, which would eliminate any need to hardwire. The brake controller connector is clipped to the back side of a panel located just to the right of the ignition key. You'll need to lower the panel and unclip the connector from the rear of the panel, then feed it down behind the panel so it exits out the bottom of the dash. The 3040-P is indeed the correct adapter for your Tundra, and the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 you referred to, part # 90885 would be an excellent choice.
