If the clearance is better on the other side of the trailer what you could do is pull out the inner piece of the unit and flip it 90 degrees and reinstall it so that you could install it on the opposite side of the trailer. view full answer...
You do not need to remove the air pressure from the Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1116 # LC155943 anytime you unhook from the pin box but it's always a good idea to check the pressure once you're connected to your tow vehicle again just to make sure it's at the proper level.
