I would usually not tell anyone to have the springs on one side rated higher than the other side, but it does sound like you might need to. Especially with two trailers doing the exact same thing.
If you do decide to go this route, the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e27SR will be rated for a 4,500 pound axle, or 2,000 pounds per spring. However, these will measure 26 inches from eye to eye, so they may be a bit longer than your current ones.
