To find the right weight distribution hitch (WDH) for your trailer you'll want to fully load the trailer and truck bed like you were going camping and then measure the tongue weight. Each WDH will have a tongue weight capacity range and you'll want to be as close to the middle of it as possible. If you don't have access to a scale then the general rule of thumb is that your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your GVWR.
