It sounds like the wiring was changed going into the solenoids at the hydraulic pump on your 2007 Damon Daybreak. I would check these connectors as it sounds like they were mixed up if the unit was swapped out. Typically when the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC358590 is malfunctioning it just needs a Zero Point Calibration Reset. It sounds to me like you may have already done this though so the next step is to check the power and ground to ensure that the system has what it needs to properly function.

Before replacing the motor, you'll want to make sure its receiving a full 12V and it's properly grounded. Those motors work hard, and if they're not getting full power because of a supply or ground power, they aren't going to work right.
