Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Hellwig Load Pro 15 load leveler helper spring set. So these custom helper springs are gonna install above the factory leaf springs on your vehicle. They're gonna help reduce your sway and body roll and prevent sagging when you're towing or hauling loads. These are going to be a custom fit for the vehicles that you see on the screen there. So if you have any one of those, these are going to be very simple to get installed on your vehicle.

These are going to flex with the leaf springs to help limit any bouncing, while providing optimal stability. These do have a 1,500 pound weight capacity and when you hear that, it's tempting to think that means it's going to increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity by 1,500 pounds. And that's not the case. There's no suspension enhancement system on the market that will increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. So think of this less like a second set of hands that's helping you lift more weight.

Think of it more like a back brace. So it's there to help take some of the strain off your factory suspension system, help to make sure that your tires and everything are wearing properly and that it's not going, having that towing weight and the weight of your load is not going to put too much strain on your suspension system. So it's gonna help extend the life of those factory components. When you compare these to, say like airbags, which is what most people think of when they think of suspension enhancement, there's some benefits to airbags, there's some benefits to a system like this. So your airbags do have a lot of custom ability.

So you can add air if you have a heavier load, give you more support. You can let air out if you have a lighter load, so you get a less firm engagement. With this system, it is adjustable, you can adjust your u-bolts. You can also adjust them for off-center loads. So if you need more support on one side than the other.

So there is some adjustability. However, you are gonna get more adjustability with your airbags. So if you want to have that more control, I would recommend going with airbags. If you're more just wanting to have kinda a set it and forget it sort of set up, this is gonna be more of the way to go. This system is gonna work really well for you. It is going to be very simple to get installed. It just bolts using these u-bolts, bolt right in place, right above your factory leaf springs. All the mounting hardware that you need is included as well as some instructions here to help you get it installed properly. Now one thing to note, you don't want to install these on vehicles with composite or plastic leaf springs because they could potentially damage those softer materials. These are going to be for your steel leaf springs that can handle the support that these provide. But once you get them mounted in place, like I said, you can adjust to suit different loads, give you that driver and passenger side adjustability, so you can adjust them independently for your off center loads. And overall just a more of a set it and forget it sort of set up. But these are made here in the USA of a durable steel construction. So it is going to ensure nice, long lasting performance for you. If I zoom in a little bit here, you can see these do have this silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish that's gonna prevent corrosion. Again, help these last nice long time for you.
