Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Petco F1 series LED headlight bulbs. These are going to be the 9021 style bulb type, so these are going to be a great replacement for the LEDs or the headlights that we had before. It's going to provide us with high power LED lighting, so it's definitely going to be an upgrade from your original lights or your halogen lights. These are going to be a brighter and longer lasting than your standard halogens and they're also going to have the C-O-B or chip on board led technology.

So those LEDs are space really close together and it almost looks like it's just one solid light.I'm going to turn this one on. I have it connected to a power source here. I would not suggest looking directly at it. It is very bright, so I'm going to switch that on and you can see that light is very intense, gives us a nice clean white light. I turn the lights out in my studio here and I'm just pulling this away from my table and you can see that pretty much it's only illuminated by this one light at this point and it's a very bright light for us.

So definitely going to be a nice upgrade for your vehicle.This light in particular is going to be a fit for the 2014 Chevrolet Impala. To be sure that this is a fit though for any other vehicles we want to use our fit guide here at etrailer.com And make sure that you use your year, make and model to double check that, but it should work for that Chevy Impala.It also comes with two little pieces of foam tape so you can just split these apart. One is going to go on the wiring for one side and the other one here just to make sure that it's not rattling around and causing any issues. This is kind of a little converter box, so you want to make sure that you mount that to a nice solid surface, clean it off of any dirt or debris before you adhere the sticky stuff. And then it also comes with a little teeny tiny Allen wrench or a hex wrench this is to make any adjustments to the beam pattern on your light.

So if you loosen this up, you should be able to rotate the orientation of that light to get it angled where you want it to go. So the little knobs here are going to rotate. So that's what actually locks it into place. So by changing those you change where the light will be directed. Tighten that back down.

And then if you need to adjust these cooling fins on either side, similarly you're going to be adjusting this little screw here. So that'll let you swing those around where you need them to be.Those cooling fans do help to make sure that you're promoting good dissipation of heat. Anytime you have any light, they'll know that heat buildup can cause premature failure for that light. So by having those fins, it's going to help to dissipate that out and keep our light cool. It's also made of a durable aluminum construction, so that also helps us to make sure that everything is staying as cool as possible.The lights are rated for IP65 which means that they're protected from shock water and dust. That six digit there, that means that it's impervious to dust and five means that it's waterproof up to being sprayed with jets. So should be up to the task for being behind our lights and any rain or snow that comes on our way, we shouldn't have any issues with that.It's just a plug and play wiring connection there. We're just plug that right into our Impalas factory wiring so we shouldn't have to do any splicing or cutting or taping. Pretty easy install as far as that goes. A lot of times getting to the headlight is really the hardest part, like getting it removed, so that would be the biggest challenge for it, but this is definitely going to be a great improvement for your original lights, gets you to be able to see at night again. Again, the bulb type is going to be 9012, the brightness is rated at 1500 lumens per bulb. The wattage is going to be 26 watts. The color temperature is 6,500 kelvin, which is that nice clean blue light.
