Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Putco 48 inch long, direct fit Blade LED tailgate light bar. Now, this is a custom fit part that is designed to fit specifically, the 2019 and newer Ford Rangers equipped with the factory halogen taillights. To confirm that this is going to work for your vehicle, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide on our website and input the year, make and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will let you know if this will work with your vehicle. Now, this waterproof LED tailgate light bar installs in the gap on your tailgate.
And it's going to provide the auxiliary brake, tail, turn and reverse signals. As I mentioned, this is 48 inches long, and 5/8 of an inch wide, and 3/8 of an inch tall. And I do already have this connected to 12 volt power. And the LEDs are going to produce a bright red or white light based on the signal that it receives. And the chip on board LED technology is going to create a bright, solid panel of light.
And let me go ahead and just zoom in here just a little bit, so you can actually see that the LED chips are mounted close together for uniform, high-intensity light, similar to a lighting panel. So, as I already mentioned, I do have the running lights on currently. And I'm gonna go ahead and turn off my studio lights and just run through the other functions that this light bar provides. So, our running lights, as you can see that nice, uniform bright light. And then when I engage the brake signal, you can see how much brighter it gets.
So, when you hit that brake pedal in your Ranger, folks behind you are going to immediately know that you hit that brake pedal and you are anticipating on stopping. So again, running lights and then our brake lights. And then I'm gonna go ahead and run through our turn signals. So first, we have our right turn signal. And again, you see how much brighter that gets on the right-hand side.
And then let me go ahead and move over to our left turn signal. And then I'm gonna go ahead and engage the reverse lights. So, as you can see, that has a cool white color. And it has an output of 3,000 lumens and a temperature of 6,000 Kelvin. So, it's going to provide plenty of light. The folks behind you are gonna know that you are anticipating on backing up. I think that's gonna give you a little bit of light too, so you can see behind you. So, really a great light. Provides a lot of light and very uniform as well as we've mentioned. So, let me turn my studio lights on before my camera goes completely out of focus. The sealed lens and housing unit are indeed waterproof with a IP69K rating that stands up to severe environmental conditions and cleaning methods. And let me turn the power off so you can see that this does have a tinted polycarbonate housing that provides a sleek look. And this is going to be a simple installation with the included automotive grade 3M tape and clips. And then the quick-connect wiring harness that is going to plug into your Ranger's existing light connections, so there's not gonna be any cutting or splicing of wires. And then you're also going to get instructions to walk you through step by step the simple installation process. Well, I'm a big fan of light bars such as this one. And if you are looking to add a light bar to your Ranger, I think this is gonna be a great choice. You're gonna be able to let the folks behind you know your intentions of whether putting on your brakes, or making a left or right turn, backing up, you're gonna be doing that in style with a light bar such as this. So, I'm very pleased with not only the look of the light as we saw together, but the simple installation as well. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
