Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Pacer Performance High-Five truck cab light kit. But this is going to be styled after the 1988 through 2002 Chevy and GMC factory truck roof light kits or roof lights.The idea here is that these are going to give us the roof lights to add that kind of big rig look to our vehicle, or maybe replace out those lights if something happened to them, they we're damaged or broken. Or if we just want to switch to the smoke lens that these come with. This is going to help you to get that all black or kind of murdered out look for your truck, which is pretty popular right now.So definitely a cool kit to have on any kind of vehicle, they are a universal fit, so it doesn't have to just be a Chevy or GMC truck, you can put them on just about anything you want.The kit comes with everything you see laid out here on the table, we'll have our bulbs, the sockets to put into our lights, the wiring, we get two pieces there, including a fuse and fuse holder, a switch, the screws to mount the switch, some O-rings to go with our other hardware to mount the lights, and some quick splice connectors to make our electrical connections.So it's a relatively straightforward install process.
You may need to do some drilling to put the hardware in for your lights to go in place. So you definitely want to be careful whenever you're doing that. You'll need two holes per light, and then an additional hole for the wiring to come through. So that's going to be three holes per light, total of 15.I have this socket already in place just to show you how it's going to look more or less. So it's going to kind of come through this rubber boot.
This is pretty flexible, and these sockets are a little bit flexi as well. So it might be a little tricky to kind of get those in place, you have to just work with it, finagle it and get that in place. And then it should work out just fine for you. Put one of these bulbs in place. So you can see what it looks like illuminated.
And these kits also available with everything you see here, but it also comes with the LED bulbs instead.I would actually suggest getting that kit since LEDs are going to be a lot more energy efficient and long lasting. They look like this, and they just go in the same way as the incandescent bulbs. They're typically going to be a little bit brighter, and you don't have to worry about changing out that bulb really anytime soon. But that's just me.You still get the incandescent bulbs with the LED kit. So if you need those bulbs for anything else, you can use them, they are a T10 194 style bulb.
So just that little wedge bulb inside there. But that's basically what it looks like whenever it's eliminated.Again, this isn't going to be super bright. You're not trying to actually illuminate the night with these. Just give a little bit more of a high awareness for other drivers as you're going down the road. And just give that kind of big rig look on your truck. I'm going to turn the lights out in the studio, you can see how bright that is, so again, not super bright, but enough to alert other drivers that we're coming.Turn this off, unhook the wires, and we can talk more about what's in the kit. So again, quick splice connectors, that's going to help us get our wiring done. This one wire is going to go between all five of our lights. So as this comes in, you'll lay one wire down, use your quick splice to connect these two together and go along your merry way to the rest of them.Quick splices are going to do a good job of that. Since, this is going to have all its lateral connections on the inside of your truck, you shouldn't have any issues with water ingress. So, inaudible 00:03:47 splices are fine. If this connection is going to be made outside the vehicle, I would recommend switching this out with a butt connector, but that's not the case here.You probably won't have to drop the headliner in your truck, you can probably get away with putting everything on the edge towards the front of your truck, just up along your windshield, but it may be required depending on where you mount these up, so just something to keep in mind there. And you also will probably have to drill some holes to get these actually mounted in place. So some things to note with the install as far as that goes.Screws, one two for each light, fairly straightforward. They're each going to make sure that you measure really well, get everything lined up and straight, before you actually drill any holes. So take your time with that. The switch mounts with these screws here, probably somewhere underneath your dash, somewhere out of the way, but also still reachable without having to stretch for it. So you're not having to reach way over and impede your driving, if you want to turn them on, on the fly.By having that switch, we can eliminate any issues with connecting these into our factory lights. Since a lot of times, your warranty can be voided if you make any changes to the factory lighting. So no worries about that, has its own light switch, or own switch to power it. You run the power to your battery and no issues there.As far as the size of each light, they are going to be all the same. It's about five and three quarter inches long by about two and seven-eighths inches wide. And then about one. Let's say about one and a half inches, maybe one and three eighths inches tall.That's going to do it for our look at the Pacer performance High-Five truck cab light kit. fairly quick shipping..my truck has never had lights...but have installed them on every truck I've owned ( 4 ), This is my 5th. Everything was in the box. It even came with little washers for the screw heads. I used silicone just in case. I was very skeptical of the supplied ground wires but they all worked!!.. I decided on the old style bulbs this time. Might switch if they don't last then I will go to the LED's. I used a different toggle switch than the one supplied. Really like the set so far. I have never seen a truck like mine with cab lights. Maybe others will try it now?
Look good on the truck, one of the center lights became loose so it was not making great contact and therefore was out. I got it working again, but it was a hassle taking the light off the truck to just spin the light a little bit.
Great product, I replaced existing lights with these. Hole pattern was exactly the same as my old lights. I had two issues not related to the product. My old lights only had one wire through the cab. They had a jumper wire that went from bulb socket to mounting screw for the light.
As far as replacing existing lights goes, this product is great.
For a complaint, the instructions nor video showed me what the little rubber washers were for. Since there were 10 of these I assumed they were for the mounting screws. I used mine for lens cover screws.
I also used silicone under foam pad, on top of foam pad, on mounting screws, and after install was complete I added it at base of lens and around base of light. All not needed but cant hurt to keep water out.
Definitely reccomend this companies products.
One year on, these lights are holding up very well. Installation was pretty simple, I did have to break out a drill to enlarge the factory holes - I believe the factory lights used sheet metal screws to attach to the top of the cab through the lens and these use a metal stud attached to the light base with a nut that tightens from inside the cab (it's been a year and my memory is fuzzy). Outwards though these lights look completely stock. They sealed well and I've experienced no issues with water leaks. 100% suggest these to anyone wanting to replace or upgrade their stock lights to LED while retained the OE look.
Lights and everything arrived quickly, everything needed was in the packaging. The only thing I did differently was I wired the lights into my existing light switch instead of a separate switch, just bought 16 gauge wire from hardware store. I added some t10 LED lights which look awesome at night! During the day LED or incandescent bulbs are not very visible anyway. Overall awesome product!
The Pacer Performance High-5 lights on my 1992 Ford F350 are high quality. They fit the original screw holes perfectly. The LED lights are bright. The wire connectors were different, but that was no problem. I cut off the connectors and used crimp-on connectors, then taped the connections securely with electrical tape.
After reading not so good reviews on other cab lights I found these and saw nothing but good things about them and when I had them installed I was more than happy with them. I would recommend to anyone wanting to put cab lights on their truck
The cab lights I ordered came in a timely manner and they were oem quality!
They look great! Pretty simple install, everything you need is included and the easy splice makes it even easier to wire everything together. They give you 6, so I just used the last one to tap into my headlights and they turn on automatically whenever those are on. LED’s are pretty bright and that’s what I went with, but they also give you the classic bulbs to choose from as well. 4 stars for now just to see how they hold up!
The lights were purchased as replacement for the existing lights already on the truck, so all the hard work of drilling the holes and running the wiring was already done. What little installation I had to do was fairly easy, and simple. The lights match the originals exactly and you can't tell them apart from the old ones. The package was shipped promptly and arrived undamaged within a few days. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the order and I will be using your company for future purchases and I will definitely recommend your company to other people who need the type of things you supply.

Bought these lights about a year ago and they look and work great! The lighting makes a perfect red and they are very bright as well, but that can depend on the bulbs you decide to use. Easy installation too!
Great lights looks amazing on my GMC, i could not be happier. I had the installed as no one wants me wiring anything. The LED bulbs are nice and bright. I would recommend these lights to anyone.

Lights exactly as described. Package came with both LED bulbs and incandescent bulbs. Easy to install. I watched the installation video which was very helpful. I only installed 4 as my vintage truck has a middle rotating beacon.
The smoked lens look great! On my 2017 black 3500 RAM. Install took about 45 minutes. LED bulbs need to go the right way to work. Shipping was quick, and thanks to Jason and everyone at etrailer for making the ordering process easy.
Straightforward install. Worst part was dropping the headliner. Tapped into the power source at passenger side kick panel in my 97 Ford. Very happy with my purchase.
Had these lights on my truck for a year now and they work great the installation was pretty easy. I installed them on my ram 1500
These have only been on for a few days but they seem to be a very reliable option if your truck needs cab lights. Straight forward install and I was pleased to find out the bases and lenses are molded of a nice poly plastic. I was worried the bases would be weak and flimsy. I ordered two sets, one set for a 2000 f350 that never had cab lights, and a second set for a 2002 f350 that already had cab lights but were aged and weathered. I was able to get my drilling dimensions from one truck and just transfer over to the other. Simply dropped the headliner, marked my holes on masking tape, drilled holes, mounted lights, and ran wiring down to behind my headlight switch tapped into the running lights wire. I did go the extra mile and added some silicone around my bolt and wire holes for a little extra insurance prior to putting the headliner back in place. I was a little intimidated to start with but after all said and done I would have no issue doing this over again on multiple trucks. I'm not a professional mechanic by trade, just handy enough to do my own exhaust, stereo, and lighting installs as well as oil changes etc. These cab lights can be installed by novice wrench turners. etrailer does however need to update their website pictures though. The updated version of these lights have studs molded into the bases so they are held on by a nut and washer from inside the cab. The pictures on etrailer must be a previous version that were fastened by sheet metal style screws screwed in from the topside. Pacer Performance website shows the proper product, etrailer should make that a priority to follow suit and update their literature. The molded studs is a much better design! Kudos Pacer Performance!

Excellent product. Very good price. The replacement marker lights were almost an identical match to the original lights on my 1983 Ford F150. A very easy install. The truck looks great! Purchasing the lights on line with etrailer.com was a snap. I'm very happy so far with the service, product, and follow up. Hello Again. I just received my order. Thank You. One concern. The exterior marker lights came as a complete set including mounting screws although the three interior lights and the exterior door light DID NOT. I was hoping the screws would be included in the price so I would not have to make a trip to the hardware store to mount them.
The diameter, head size and length are critical to NOT breaking the unit when installed. I look forward to hearing from you on this matter.

Very well made cab lights. My only suggestion would be to buy a better set of led bulbs and swap them before installation. I had bulbs that burnt out after 9 months.
