Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 500 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 412 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 289 lumens.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at the ARC Eco Series 1156 Amber LED bulbs. These are a single contact bayonet base and it is for a quantity of two bulbs. Now, these are 1156 LED bulbs, which will provide a bright amber light for automotive applications. It's great for use as turn signals.
And these are an Eco Series, and these feature an automotive grade LED chips and compact bulb design. Basically, they're a size similar to your OEM bulbs to ensure that there're no fitment or clearance issues when you install them. They do use diffused lens, which creates a nice, smooth 360 degree light pattern. Does use 23 LEDs per bulb. Now, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power so I can show you how bright it is and the color of it.
So again, it's a single bayonet base, so you can see, there's your single contact there. So we'll go ahead and contact that. And then, if we take the other one and touch the side, you can see there's your amber bulb. So I'm gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and do the same. If we touch it, you can see the 23 LED bulbs give off a nice 360 degree light pattern, and you can see how bright it is.
The single contact bayonet base I talked about is designed to mount into a 7507 compatible fixture. It is reverse polarity protected, so it can go in either way, doesn't matter which way it goes in. Now, these are a durable aluminum construction, prevents overheating. Does meet IP-67 ratings, which provide protection from shock water and dust. As we mentioned, it's for a quantity of two bulbs.
Light output, again, raw lumens is 500 lumens. Effective lumens are 412. And then stable lumens, which is basically after 30 minutes of usage, about 289 lumens. Color temperature is 3000 kelvin. Wattage, 6.5 watts per bulb. And the power draw at 12 volts is 0.65 amps. Voltage for these are nine volts to 16 volts DC. But that should do it for the review on these ARC Eco Series 1156 Amber LED bulbs, single contact bayonet base for a quantity of two.
