Today, we're going to take a look at the Carr Custom-Fit Tow-Hook-Mounted Step. This is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2000 to 2007 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty trucks, also fits the 2000 to 2007 Ford F350, F450, F550 Cab and Chassis models. This is a unique step-mount that will mount to your vehicle's OEM tow hook, gives you simple access to the front of your truck. Basically, when you put the step down, you can get up on here and get up under the hood to work on your engine a lot easier. You can wash, polish your hood and fenders with ease, without having to reach into areas. It has a nice non-slip step surface here, provides sure footing.
You can see the finish on it is a nice black powder-coated aluminum construction. It's very strong, durable, and rust-proof. The foldaway design, when you're not stepping on it, gives you a nice, unobtrusive look. It's up against your vehicle. This is a fast and easy mounting and removal. As you can see, it mounts to the tow hook opening.
It's a clamp-on installation. There's no drilling required. All the necessary hardware is included. This part is made in the USA. Weight capacity on this step is 650 pounds.
When you order this, this will be quantity of one tow hook step. The last thing I want to give you is the dimension of the step itself. Length on it is going to be right at 5" long, and if we do the width of the step, it's going to be right at 2.5" wide. You just step up on here. When you're not using it, just flip it. It's spring-loaded, pops up right out of the way.

When not in use, the black powder coated aluminum step flips up.Lock nice but does not stay in place. Large washer bends needs to be replaced with 3/16 " plate. Tabs need to be welded on top plate to prevent spinning on tow hook.
