Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby. And today, we're taking a look at the BedRug XLT truck bed mat here on the back of our 2020 Ford F-150. Now, this is gonna be an excellent option of giving you a lotta great coverage here inside your bed. As you guys can see, we're getting full coverage here with this custom fit. Not having any gaps that are gonna make me worried about, where we're losing anything, we're not having good coverage. As well as you're getting this nice, soft carpet top up on here.

This guy's gonna give you some pretty immediate advantages. Obviously, gonna really reduce any kind of movement that we're gonna have in the bed of our truck here with any kind of tools, buckets, or anything like that. As you guys can see here today, we got ahead grabbed ourselves a bucket of tools and it does do a pretty good job. I'm not really letting this shift. As you can see, you're gonna have a little bit, but actually I am getting a pretty good hold on here.

Compared to, you guys wanna see here, just our normal corrugate here on our tailgate, way more easier to slide against. Kinda do it with my hand here very, very easily. So you get rid a little bit of a reduction in that slide which is great for ourselves and of course, what it can also be good for is just providing us a little bit of comfort as we get up on here. As you guys can see normally, you're grimacing in pain as you put all that weight right there on those knees. But with this nice soft carpet, I'm having no trouble at all gettin' up in here.

Especially this can be great for guys if you have any camper shells anything like that, makes it really easy to crawl up inside our truck. Something that we, you know definitely might have to do if the situation arises. So I do like how I get up on there with no trouble at all. Now you are getting three quarter inches of thickness here and it is made of polyurethane as well on the inside. So, you know, it's gonna be doing a good job of not allowing that water to penetrate.

Definitely not gonna be building up any water which is awesome. You having this fibrous material up here that'll air wick very quickly for ourselves and as well as cleaning it is gonna be no trouble at all. You can pull it out of the bed which can be great. And we'll kinda break that down as we go into installation. So it can be really easy to hose this guy out and make him clean. Now with that camper shell, you know if you are trapping that moisture in the inside we definitely recommend open up that tailgate, open up those windows try to get a little bit airflow in there. If you we're to get any kind of water in the inside hopefully our camper shell's doing a good job though in preventing that from happening. On this guy too it's kind of nice, of course you are getting that entire coverage and that tailgate and it also has this interconnected hinge right here. And what's kind of cool about that is it prevents any kind of dust from flowing up onto inside here as well. So it just gives you a little bit of coverage in that gap as you guys can see too, it does easily close with it in this position but today we actually don't have it a 100% installed. So, as you guys can probably see on here it does have some hook and loop technology for us here today. Now we just have our kinda felt side here today. We would need to install our burs and how we would do that is we have a couple different ways. Here on our tailgate, we're gonna have these rectangular pads here. So once we get this set and in position all the way, like so, I would simply take these guys, rip one off, expose that sticky side and start putting it on our tailgate on our bed of our truck. And that'll allow us to actually start adhering this to our truck which is amazing and that way we're not having it shift, we're not worried about the wind ripping it off or moving it at all. It's gonna stay right where we want it. This guy is a lot more lightweight than you might see from like a rubber mat. So these guys are definitely integral to make this happen. If you guys wanna follow me here a little bit I'll give you an idea of how the middle is held down. You can kinda see it on the top end here where the stitching is, that's actually where our belt is gonna be on the inside of this guy. And as I flip this guy around you can see exactly where that guy is. So of course we wanna go ahead measure where we want this to be exactly, go ahead and put that sticky side down and that way we have a contact point for our hook and loop technology. One thing to point out is how well this fits here in the truck as well. You're seeing only little tiny gaps here in the wheel well which is nice as we're getting pretty good coverage across the entire of this guy. I definitely probably bring it a little bit more forward just to bring it up to the cab all the way and then start tightening everything down with those Velcros. And it definitely doesn't take us any time at all. Well, I am a big fan of the BedRug guys, I think they do a great job. Of course, you're gear getting that nice thickness. It's nice 'cause I'm puttin' up here, can reach for my tools and not be in pain to so and of course it's also gonna prevent just a little bit of damage happening to the bed of your truck. As you guys can probably see on this guy, it's got a little bit of scratches going on, as you guys can see. So, if you wanna keep your bed nice and looking good this can be an excellent option.
