Adam: What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the BedRug XLT on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2,500. If you have a bare bed or a spray-in liner, they're going to be a little unforgiving. Especially the spray-in liner, they're extremely tough on your knees and everything else that you put in the bed of the truck. Also if you have a bare bed, it might be kind of smart to protect it. I don't know if you have a new truck or an old truck.

Regardless, you like to keep your stuff nice and pretty. Just putting something to protect that bed that's bare is going to be something that you want to do. It's going to be forgiving on your knees and everything else you put in here of course. And it is going to be a custom fit.So we have a really good fit. We did have to put some stuff down just because it was curling up a little bit, but over time it is going to flatten out.

And we do have a lot of hook and loop fasteners to put wherever we want to be able to get the right fit. So it is going to be a one piece. So we don't have two pieces to put on the tailgate and the back there. So we're going to eliminate this black hole here. So have you ever had something fall in there Sometimes it's really hard and difficult to get undone.

This way, you don't have to worry about that. But we are going to have hook and loop all the way around here. We have a lot of strips and stuff that come with the kit. So put those accordingly and we are going to have a really really stationary mat.So all in all, definitely recommend grabbing something. This one's extremely thick.

It's about three quarters of an inch thick. It's going to be foam and then carpet up on top of that. It's going to help kind of with all the molds and stuff. If there's a lot of water that stays here, we have a tonneau cover on here now. So we're not going to have that issue. But even if you don't have a tonneau cover, don't be afraid to grab this mat. It's going to deal with water relatively well. One thing I kind of look for if you're really using this bed and you're putting a lot of heavy stuff in it, a lot of tools and stuff, I would definitely recommend going with a rubber mat. They're going to be about the same thickness, but it's going to be a little bit more durable.So that's all just depends on what you really use your truck for. And if you have issues with stuff sliding around, this is going to help a lot. Probably not as much as the rubber mats, but this is kind of more nichey for those who really don't use your truck bed for extreme purposes. For example, the cord really isn't sliding around a whole lot. And even if it we're to slide around, it's not really going to move that much at all. If the spray-in liner was here and this thing is moving back and forth on a long trip, eventually you're going to see some wear. And that in my opinion is extremely unnecessary. All you have to do is grab some sort of bed mat to prevent that from happening. But that's pretty much it for a look at the BedRug XLT on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2,500.
