All right, today on this 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty Crewcab, we're going to install Part Number BMQ99TG. This is the Bedrug Custom Truck Tailgate Mat. We're going to start off our tailgate that has a spray in bed liner. We'll have to go ahead and take our bedrug and we'll lie it into place. We had it sitting out for a while so it lays a little bit flatter than rolled up in the box. We also took the hook fasteners and spread them out evenly across each side. We did this to give an indication where to clean up material underneath here. What we'll do next is we'll go ahead and line up our bedrug and put it where we want it.
Probably be a good idea to stay about maybe a quarter inch away from the latch here, even it up on both sides, and then, there's a little ridge here we'll line up with that. Once we have it sitting where we want it, we'll put some weight on top of it to hold it in place while we do our work. We'll do some prep work. Since we have a spray in bed liner, we need to rough this up with some sandpaper. Sandpaper doesn't come with the kit. You'll have to go out and get yourself some. We're going to rough up the areas where we laid out our hook fasteners.
Once that's roughed up, we'll clean it off with some soap and water. Once we let that dry, we'll use some rubbing alcohol and go over it one more time. Last up is we'll treat the area with some automotive adhesion promoter, which comes with the kit. Let's wipe down the area with the promoter. This will give it better adhesion to the spray in bed liner. You don't want to use this on a painted surface or bare metal.
Put our fastener on the other side; pull off our protective covering. One last check and let's push it into place. We'll work our way on down the line. If we have to make any adjustments to the mat, we can peel it back up and make adjustments as needed. Okay, we're done with this edge. We'll repeat the same process on the edge over here.
We'll remove all our weights and we are done. Push on it and make sure it doesn't go anywhere. I think we're good to go. That will do it for Part Number BMW99TG, the Bedrug Custom Truck Tailgate Mat on our 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cab. .

It is what it is- foam with carpet that you Velcro to the tailgate. But the quality wasn't the greatest. The stitching holding the Velcro easily pulls loose.
Easy install and works well. Will need to leave out in sun/wind a day or so to dry out if wet along with the matching BedRug I purchased. Helps the old knees, greatly!
Etrailer has the best customer service. Tailgate mat was easy to install. Adds nice padding for climbing in and out of the bed.

I have had this product for several weeks now but have not installed this yet. I am going back and forth on the decision due to the fact it does cover the whole tailgate.
After owning this tailgate BedRug for a year, I will have to say that it has been quite the knee-saver! I do have to get into and out of my truck bed from time to time and this tailgate mat has been great at softening the transition on my old and tired knees! Also, the tailgate mat cleans-up very easily. After one year of use it looks as it did the day that I installed it!
Tailgate cover seems to be of good quality and the size was a great fit. Order was received without attachments ,but one call and the attachments were" next day" shipped to me ,with apologies for the mistake. You couldn't ask for better customer service. I would still advise buying more high quality Velcro strips to add between the 7 furnished for each the top and the bottom .
I'm an average user of my truck, not commercial, but so far so good with this product. I had Bedrug products before and never had any issue even after 15 years.
I love their stuff, not cheap but good stuff.

I like the mat, but it’s been hard to adhere to my tailgate as it has bed liner material on it.

Pros: Easy to install, took maybe 5 mins. Perfect fit for tailgate on my 2011 Ram 1500 pickup.
Cons: Wish they provided a bit more velco sticky pads to ensure a smoother and more secure attachment to pickup tailgate.

For the most part it works and looks great. I just have one side on the back rug that will not stay glued down. Every time I open the trunk on the bed that meeting mat wants to pull up and come undone. I have tried everything for it to stay down but nothing has worked . It’s gets really agraveting. I have OCD and it just drives this old veteran crazy.
