Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this GEN-Y hitch truck bed and trailer rub rail ladder. Now, this sturdy ladder is going to let you safely climb onto your truck or trailer, and this is going to be perfect for tying down or adjusting a load. This has a weight capacity of 300 pounds and these built-in hooks, you can see right here and right here, are going to allow you to easily secure this anywhere along your truck beds, rub rails. And then when you're done using this, it's gonna be very easy to quickly remove this and then store it. So this is not gonna be a permanent insulation, it's gonna be very easy to use.

And this has a flip hand rail that's going to let you keep your balance when you're using the ladder. Before I show you that, I wanna show you how you can release that rail. So we've got a knob here that's got a bolt, and then this is a spring, spring-loaded knob. So I'm gonna pull that knob and then that's going to allow me to flip that handle up. So lemme go ahead and zoom out here and just show you, I'm gonna set this on the floor.

So pulling this out, that's going to allow me to bring this handle up and then that spring-loaded bolt is then going to secure in another hole right here. Lemme see if I can zoom back in on that. So it secures right here. And while we're here, I wanted to mention that you can attach this handle either on this side, which I have it here, or the opposite side. So which ever is gonna be the most convenient for you.

So zooming back out, I wanted to show you the full length of this handle. So the idea is, you can just climb up and then this handle is going to allow you to have a secure trip up and down this ladder. This handle, I measured it before our time together, is going to give you an additional 30.5 inches of height to allow you to hold on as you're making your way up the ladder. And it has some indentions here to allow you to place your fingers in there securely. So it's a nice feature, it's very easy to use, it's going to lock in place.

And then when you're ready to lower this, lemme show you again here, hopefully you can see that. Here's our knob and then I'm just gonna pull that out and then that's going to allow me to release this and I'm just gonna pull that out again. And then it's secured in that hole right there. So that handle is not going to accidentally come undone, which is a really nice feature. Lemme go ahead and just give you a closeup look of those rungs there. So this is made here in the USA of aluminium. So it's relatively lightweight. As you can see, It's got a powder-coat finish on there, so you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion, anything like that. I think it's gonna hold up really well against the elements. This weighs about 22 pounds, so it's not really heavy at all, but it's gonna be very durable. Again, a weight capacity of 300 pounds. And then let me see if I can give you some measurements here. So let me retrieve my tape measure here. And I just wanna give you an idea of the size. So looking at the overall height, not including that handle, and I know it's probably gonna be hard for you to see this, but we're sitting pretty close to, just from the bottom of the ground where it's sitting on, all the way to the top, we're sitting at right about 45.5 inches tall overall. And again, that's obviously not including the handle when it's extended. And then, looking at the overall width and that's including the handle when it's collapsed, we're sitting pretty close to 17 inches wide. And then the depth at the widest point, see if I can just rest this on my knee here real quick and try to show that to you. We are gonna be sitting pretty close, just about five inches depending on where you're at. Overall, it's going to be about 5, 5.5 inches deep, depending on where you're at 'cause it does vary depending on where you're at. So 5, 5.5 inches deep, just to give you an idea. And again, I mentioned that when you have that handle fully extended, that's going to give you an additional 30.5 inches. So very strong, very durable, very rugged. It doesn't wobble, it doesn't flex. When you go up it, you're gonna feel very secure, especially with the added benefit of that flip up handrail, that's going to give you a lot of security and confidence as you're making your way up.
