Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirror. This extendable towing mirror is going to replace your factory side-view mirror on your vehicle. It's got a telescoping design that's going to make it very easy for you to see around the side of your trailer, so you can safely change lanes, pass, and park. So unlike your snap-on or strap-on mirrors that you constantly have to put on or take off, this is going to be very easy to operate and it'll stay installed. When you want to extend your line of sight, you can just simply pull the mirror away from your vehicle, and then when you're done towing, you're ready to have it back in its normal configuration, you just push in like so.

When we have it retracted, it's gonna be about 18 inches away from our vehicle, when it's extended, it's gonna be about 21 1/2 inches out. It does have a hinged design that's going to allow you to fold the mirror up against the vehicle, so if you're parking in a tight space, this will allow you to fold that in, so that your profile is a little bit smaller. Now, this is a custom fit mirror, it is going to work for your 2000 through 2005 Ford Excursion, your 2001 through 2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duties, and your 2001 through 2007 F-350, F-450, F-550 Cab and Chassis. Because this is a custom fit, it's gonna be very easy to get installed, we got the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror, so you're not gonna have to do any drilling for this installation, it is going to plug right in place of your existing mirror, so very easy to get this put in place. And then it's going to give you those same functionalities as your factory mirror, so it's got the power mirror adjustment that's going to allow you to change your mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle, it's got the heated mirror glass, so it's gonna clear frost and ice and help reduce fogging, it's also got the amber light, it's going to signal when you have your turn signal activated, so all those same features as your original.

This does have a nice, durable plastic housing with a black finish, which can be painted to match your vehicle color to help integrate it even more if you so choose. I'll give you a few dimensions here on our mirror face, so our overall height of the mirror face itself, we're looking at right about 8 1/8 of an inch, just over eight inches tall. And then our width is about 6 7/8, just under seven inches wide. We do have this built-in 1 7/8 of inch tall spotter mirror that's going to further reduce our blind spots, make sure that we can see any vehicles that are coming up before we change lanes and that sort of thing. Now, this is just the passenger's side mirror, we also have the driver's side available, as well as a pair of both the passenger's side and the driver's side, so depending on what you're needing for your setup, make sure you're getting the right options there.

But this is Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard approved, so it is going to be a great addition to your Ford, so that you can extend that line of sight, make sure that you're gonna be safe as you're towing.
