Speaker 1: Today, we're going to take a look at a Pro Grip Trunk Tie-Down with Cargo Cleat and Paracord. This is going to measure 9 feet in length, and it works with loads up to 20 pounds.A lot of times, a typical thing that happens whenever you have to haul something in your car, especially if it's smaller or if the object is sort of ungainly and you have to leave that trunk open, that trunk can kind of bounce around and potentially cause damage to our item or be unsafe. This is going to allow you to have a attachment point to tie that trunk closed. It's just going to be a little cleat that you can run that paracord around so you can tie it down and keep that trunk from bouncing around. The way it works is that we're going to mount it onto our license plate, so that cleat just goes over one of the mounting holes. It's going to go around the plate itself. It works with or without a frame around your license plate.
If you do have a frame, you just want to make sure that this is going underneath the frame but on top of the plate. Then you'd reattach your hardware to hold that in place and use this as that securing anchor point for your paracord, and then you would just attach the other end of the paracord to any location inside your vehicle, maybe a cargo hook or something like that. You would definitely want to make sure that it's a secure point that you attach the rest of that wire to inside your vehicle. Another good place would potentially be the latch or the striker inside your trunk. A lot of times, that's a really good, solid piece of metal. If you don't have a cargo hook or anything like that, you can always use that as the other side. Now, this is going to be type III 550 paracord, and it's going to be really durable.
This, again, works with loads up to 20 pounds. It does have a break strength of 100 pounds. The cleat dimensions itself, it's going to measure 2-1/4 of an inch long. That's at the cleat portion, the longest point. And then, the overall height of the bracket is going to be about an inch and a half long.It is recommended to always check your load and the tie-downs every 20 to 30 miles, and adjust as necessary to make sure everything stays nice and secure.
That's going to do it for our look at the Pro Grip Trunk Tie-Down with Cargo Cleat and Paracord.

I was going to spend $600+ to add roof rails and rack to my SUV but instead found this product. I needed to transport a ladder section that was about 12.5 feet and extended beyond my 2017 Honda Pilot by about 1 foot. This product made it all possible.
