Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at eTrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror.Now, this is going to be a direct replacement for your side mirror. It's a custom-fit for the Toyota Tacoma, and that's for the access cab, double cab, and regular cab. It has the turn signal in the housing there, chrome finish, so it should match up with the original. Then, we'll have our studs with replacement nuts on the inside, so we can get everything mounted up.

It does have a little rubber boot going over everything to keep it nice and secure. That rubber boot acts as a sort of sound dampener, and also it keeps out any water or debris from getting into that housing and causing any issues.The nice thing about this is that there's no cutting or drilling required. The wiring just matches up to your factory wiring harness. You plug that in, and you'll have all your electrical functions, including that turn signal and the remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face from the controls inside your vehicle. No cutting or splicing, it's just going to be a really easy replacement for that mirror to get you back out on the road.As far as the mirror face, it's going to have that convex glass to make sure that we have a nice wide field of view.

But that's where it gets that little message at the bottom that says, "Objects might be closer than they appear." By having that convex glass, it's going to kind of distort the image a little bit, which is pretty typical for side marker mirrors or side mirrors. It's just a way to widen your field of view to eliminate those blind spots.It does have a break-away function. If you turn it over, you can see this little cutout, that's where it's going to turn, so it can fold in against your vehicle if you're parking in any close-quarters situations, going into a narrow driveway, or parking garage, or on a narrow one-way street or something like that.Now, this is for the passenger side of our Tacoma.
