Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source replacement side-view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2007 through 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It is modeled after the Cruiser's original look and fit so you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your Cruiser right from the factory.

It is going to use the same footprint as the original mirror. So basically all you're going to have to do is unplug and remove the original mirror, put this one in its place, get it plugged up and you're ready to go. It's going to use all the same holes and everything so you're not going to need to drill any new holes or anything like that. It is going to be a direct replacement for you.This mirror does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your Cruiser. Keep in mind that it will only work if you already have those capabilities in your Cruiser.

This does also have the lamp on the backside here that will come on when your headlights come on. Again, as long as your Cruiser is capable of that, the mirror will sustain it.It is an OEM grade product so it's going to be the same high quality materials as your original. It's got a flat lens that's going to reflect the true representation of the object's size behind you and it is plated in a reflective chrome so it's going to give you a nice, clear image. So as you're traveling down the road, you can see what's coming up behind you, or if you're backing up, it'll give you a nice, clear image to make sure that you're safe. You not going to run into anything.

It does have the breakaway design so if you we're to run into a pole or the side of your garage or something like that, the mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that shock and prevent as much damage from the mirror housing and the mirror itself.It is made of a durable plastic so it's going to hold up well. It does have that black textured finish on the front here and then like a smooth black finish on the back. Now this can be painted to better match your Cruiser's paint colors but it comes in the black there. So if your other mirror is black, it's going to easily match. You won't have to worry about that.

Now for those of you who need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for your setup, this is going to be an exact replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual, you see that number or you've taken off the old mirror and you see that number, you can rest assured this is exactly the mirror that you need to replace that.Now this is the driver's side. This does come with a 90 day warranty so if you we're to have any problems within those first 90 days, you could always give us a call. We're happy to help you out with that.
